We stayed for 5 nights over the New Year period, Hotel was central, just around the corner from the main strip, Staff were helpful especially on the reception arranging trips. The room although a bit worn around the edges, was Clean, Warm and we even had a seperate sitting area with a sink, kettle tea and coffee and a fridge,...

Rooms are basic but clean, and have everything you need. The bathroom had underfloor heating and the room was always warm. Polite and friendly staff, who were happy to answer questions and recommend restaurants.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom appt over new year. Simple accommodation but comfortable. Excellent buffet breakfast, and although much of it she couldn't eat, was adequate for my coeliac daughter. Staff helpful and friendly. Would stay again. J P

My family enjoyed our stay at the Baron. It's a nice hotel in a nice location. It's not a super luxury hotel, but our rooms were excellent for the price we paid. The free breakfast is fantastic - cold cuts, tuna salad, waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries, cereal and excellent bread were available every morning. The front desk was amazing -...

This hotel is situated in downtown Reykjavik, it is walking distance to all major attractions and bars/cafes within the city centre. The rooms are basic but clean, all have toilets and shower rooms. Would suggest asking for a sea view and a larger room. At first we were given a small twin room at the back of the hotel, it...

We stayed for the new year celebrations and was close to everything in and around the city. Staff at the hotel were great - so helpful and polite. The rooms had all you needed and clean but not too modern. Wifi worked fine and phone signal good too. Breakfast was continental and had a wide choice for all and I...

When booking I thought that a 3 star hotel might be a bit grotty, how wrong I was. The facilities are basic, but the room is spacious and very clean. The staff are friendly and breakfast is yummy, with lots of options for all tastes. The hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff are really helpful with booking...

The location of this place is great, the staff are extremely helpful to everyone (including contacting our tours that we had booked previous to arriving at the hotel), food is good but not great (some minor things like bread could be a little stale at breakfast). The only thing I could really complain about at a push is the cleaner...

Comfortable and convenient hotel. Breakfast is crazy busy (space too small and food average at best) - go out instead. We were traveling with our adult son and had a unit with two bedrooms and small kitchen. Plain and simple but very clean.

We stayed here for one night before heading down south. Upon arrival we already had problems because the staff put my reservation on the wrong day. They reconciled this by upgrading me to a business suite. While this was a larger room this definitely was NOT an upgrade. I reserved a historic room with some character, but the business suite...
