The room was very comfortable, and clean. Shower was terrific. We paid for an upgrade, so we had an ocean view. There is a big building between Baron and the ocean, so that building obstructed the view, but we did not mind, we could still see out on the water and the beautiful mountains hued in blue. The staff at...

We picked this hotel for its location, which was fine. However, the room we got was extremely small and felt crowded with two single beds and a desk glued in between. The room wasn't cleaned regularly and sometimes only one of our beds was made. Kinda strange... but since we spent most of our time outside, we didn't make a...

We chose this hotel for its location and reasonably positive reviews. However, we were disappointed with, and realised we should have chosen better for several reasons. On arrival, we were told we had been allocated an " historical room" and having seen the flattering photos, thought our request for a higher floor room could be abandoned. The room was on...

Sure it's not down town but very close to the shopping street of Laugavegur. Reasonable sized rooms considering how much we paid (not much!) we were able to spend more on some great Icelandic restaurants ;)

The 2 bedroom apartment was a great size with plenty of room to move with my 2 adult aged children. The view to the fjord was excellent and enjoyed waking up to the snow covered mountains from our bedrooms. The bathroom was enormous - again with plenty of room to move. We stayed in this apartment for 5 days and...

My husband and I visited Iceland for our honeymoon and stayed at the Fosshotel Baron. Upon arrival we were given the "honeymoon suite". It was a spacious room with a microwave, fridge, and stovetop. The attached picture is the view from our balcony. The bathroom was rather small with a standup shower, toilet, and sink. Barely enough space for two...

We stayed for 6 nights at the Fosshotel Baron. We have 3 children, age 9, 7 and 1. We took the 2-bedroom family suite (which has an efficiency kitchen, small dining table and sofa in a central room). It was a good value, with free Wifi, free parking, and had plenty of space, as we put all three boys in...

This hotel has great beds, large and clean room and lots of variety at breakfast! The staff is friendly. The style is a little 80's, but very clean. Our room had a nice view on the lake Tjornin, but the wi-fi wasnt working. It is well located from Reyjavik centre!

The hotel was disappointing, especially having experienced the Icelandic accommodation outside of Reykjavik which was so good. The rooms were small and tired. The shower was a shower base with a curtain on 2 sides. The TV had limited channels. The rooms were quiet and the location was very good for the main street. Parking outside the door was a...
