After a warm welcome by host Karen, you're left to your own devices to clean-up in the silly stinky sulphur shower (it's so weird, you don't smell like sulphur afterwards!) and start exploring the grounds, with a stunning river pumping past and a stable with delightfully fluffy horses to pet. The layout of the guest accommodation is also very convenient...

Our stay at Fitjar Guesthouse was lovely, in a picturesque location and a convenient distance from Reykjavik and the Golden Triangle. The owner was very welcoming, helpful and provided a ample breakfast each morning. The room was very neat and comfortable. The Kitchen / communal area was very well maintained, with free tea and coffee. I would definitely recommend this...

The location, kitchen, price and friendly informative staff were just what we were looking for our 2 night stopover in Iceland. A grocery store is just a short drive away, and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Resturants are very expensive so we only ate out once. Buy drinking water if you don't like mineral tasting water.

Awesome place to stay outside Reykjavik! The hostess was fantastic and helped to accommodate us when we arrived very early from an overnight Wow flight! The area is very quaint. The room was very clean and the TV had guest Netflix access. Nice hiking options nearby.

My trip to Iceland is over, and I'm in my hometown now. But I remember this guesthouse as the best accomodation in Iceland. It's Just a little bit remoted from reykjavik. But easy to access to Reykjavik. Mosfellsbaer is not crowded urban area. This guesthouse placed in beautiful area of it. Hotels in Reykjavik have expensive and very small hotel...

Very neat and peaceful place in the countryside, good location near Reykjavik. The hostess of the house was very kind and gave us helpful tips. The common kitchen was nice and well equipped and we also appreciated the free parking. The two kind and cute dogs and other animals were a nice bonus. Will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for our summer stopover in iceland and it was a favorite spot for the entire duration of our european trip. The guesthouse is nestled in fitjar Mosfellsbær. This is about 5 minutes from Laxnes hotel and about 15 minutes from Reykjavik. The scenic spot has a backdrop of the mountains, the creek, and tons of flowers and...
