We stayed here for six nights in late February/early March. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of our stay. We were pleased to find our room ready despite an early morning check-in. When the original room offered did not meet our needs (Windows in room were frosted allowing no visibility in or out), we asked to change and were...

This hotel is perfectly located for walking around Reykjavik. The staff were great and we spent a few beers talking to the manager who was a great guy from ULM in Germany. Breakfast is excellent and sets you up for the day. Make sure you eat out at night- restaurants in Reykjavik are brilliant and nearly all are walkable from...

We had a four night stay and loved it. Our room did not have a view but looked on to a courtyard that gave us privacy and quiet. We actually could see the Northern lights from our window on the last night! The only downer was the staff smoking outside the kitchen door, we could smell the smoke on the...

Just 40 mins from airport. In the heart of town. Welcoming, helpful staff. Modern clean comfortable rooms. Just a minute or two walk for fabulous restaurants, shops or the harbour. All major tour operators pick up outside the main door.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The service is excellent. The staff would go out of their way to help. We got there like 8 a.m. The hotel was booked full the night before, but they got a room for us by 10 a.m., as soon as guests checked out. I needed gluten free meals, and the restaurant...

We stayed here as a group of 4 earlier this month and found the location to be at the centre of everything we needed in Reykjavik. The rooms were a good size with a decent sized bathroom and on the whole it was very quiet. We did not opt for breakfast so can't comment on the catering, but the bar...

We stayed at the 1919 for a seven day vacation last week. We were very happy with our decision to stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, you could walk to everything down town. The front desk was great, they helped us a few times with cabs, and with changing the date of the tours we had booked. Overall...
