A rather cool, unfussy, modern hotel, ideally situated in the centre of Reykjavik. Our visit went well from the start; we arrived after dinner service had ended at its Isafold Restaurant but the staff smilingly offered to make us a scratch meal ("we've got a dessert left over from the tasting menu; would you like to share it"?). Our room...

Stayed here during a return visit to Reykjavic. (My initial review from 2011 is here: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g189970-d619115-r77465469-CenterHotel_Thingholt-Reykjavik_Capital_Region.html#REVIEWS) Still very well maintained hotel with a lobby that has been expanded and is still swank. Breakfast is on the better side in comparison to other Icelandic hotels. The rooms were clean, nicely appointed, if a little small. Bathrooms have sliding frosted glass doors...

Never got around to writing a review for this hotel, but it definitely deserves one. I would reccommend anyone travelling to Reykjavik stay here. Pros: Comfiest beds ever Free breakfast (useful because food in Iceland is expensive) Artistic decor with a minimalist, Scandinavian flair Helpful staff who are eager to assist and provide reccommendations on what to do and see...

this was our first nights stay in Iceland so we were very pleased with what we found. (Eventually as this good boutique hotel is behind an anonymous front door) The staff were very pleasant and the room was of a good standard and clean. Breakfast was adequate and good compared to some buffet breakfasts we've had since starting our tour....

This hotel is an elegant and tranquile place that really makes you rest perfectly. The decoration is minimalistic and the bathrooms have spa character. We liked the Breakdance with typical icelandic Elements. The Hotel is situated in the Center .

A lovely hotel in the centre of Reykjavik with very friendly, laid back and efficient staff. Literally half a minute's walk to the main shopping area. We had a comfortable room at the top of the hotel with a dormer window - as we asked for a quiet room when we booked as we were visiting during the annual Reykjavik...

I thought the hotel was nice and very clean. The rooms were comfortable and I love their duvets. They also don't have a shortage of hot water for long showers. The staff was friendly and the service very efficient. Being there on business, we had lunch served for our meeting daily and the food was excellent each time and the...

Friendly people, laid-back atmosphere. Jazz, blues and Janis Joplin play in the background at breakfast, and the food's better than it needs to be, too. They've got the whole thing just right. As expected, this hotel is a bit pricey, but then so is mostly everything else in Iceland. However, overall it was a great hotel, with great service and free breakfast (a very nice breakfast - far exceeds any free breakfasts you find in most chain hotels/motel in US and Canada). The bed was very comfortable and my 18 year old...
