We stayed in Centerhotel Thingholt for a long weekend in January, and it really is the best small hotel I've ever stayed in! Excellent location, less than a minute walk to the bus station, church and a huge choice of restaurants and shops. Lovely room, very warm (which was good considering the temperature outside), tastefully decorated and lighted, clean and...

Lovely hotel within the heart of Reykjavik. We stayed in a standard room and whilst it wasn't the biggest, it was appointed with everything you could need in very stylish and typically Nordic style. Breakfast was fantastic and staff were helpful and polite. Would highly reccomend.

This hotel looks very fresh and smart. We received a warm welcome from staff. The hotel is smaller than most but this gives it a more relaxed atmosphere and plenty of room in the lounge and bar areas to relax or read the books. The room was clean and spacious. The double bed was made up from two twins pushed...

We stayed here from Thurs to Sunday. The hotel has a restaurant, a bar, lounge area and a small spa area (not free). We had a standard room on the 2nd floor facing the main street. The room is spacious, clean and well equipped with essentials. We only had breakfast in the restaurant and there were plenty of choices. We...

Spent a week here in this well situated hotel. Good base for seeing the city; tour buses will pick you up right outside the front door. The front desk staff were all fairly helpful with one individual whose name we forget who stood out for her fantastic service. Take advantage of the abundant breakfast buffet to fill up before your...

The hotel itself is lovely, with nice decor and very clean. The staff are very friendly too. My husband and I had a room on the top floor which was really nice and a good size too. Other members of the family were with us and they both had rooms on the 1st floor. They were nice too, but smaller....

This hotel was absolutely amazing, The food was outstanding and I would definitely go back. We had a room with a bath right next to our bed. Very clean and friendly staff, although the cleaners were a little less talkative. There is a night club about 50-60 feet away so If you get a room at the front of the...

First visit to Reyjkavic and delighted to have selected this hotel. Great location to walk to city center. Rooms are very small, bathrooms have frosted glass walls which give some privacy, but not so good when someone has to turn on the light during the night! Very clean property!

a lovely hotel, once you step inside the door! the staff were all very friendly and able to answer any questions we had. we were in a room at the front of the hotel. there was a little noise but expected it to be worse, having read some reviews. We didn't mention it to staff or ask to be moved....

we were not satisfied with our original room allocation and were moved to an alternative. this was touch and go though. some of the rooms are not up to standard for the price and rating. otherwise the hotel is very good but given the amount of cow hide around it is not suitable for vegetarians.
