Having stayed at the sister hotel in midgardur around March, We were looking forward to stay 5D4N at this hotel during our trip to Iceland in November. The hotel is strategically located and has plenty of car park space. Upon checked in, there wasn't any welcome from the front desk staff who we later found out to be an intern....

Stayed for 4 nights. Outside was bitterly cold, but the underfloor heating in our rooms was lovely. Beds were comfortable. Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good, with plenty of variety. Only downfall, we weren't told about the spa area - we found out by chance on the last day. Would have been nice to have used this during...

Clean, safe and minutes walk away from nice restaurants and tourist attractions. Ask for a room overlooking the harbour. Lovely breakfast. Dinner was ok - you'd be better off venturing into town in the evening. If you've booked a tour, don't expect reception to call up to the room. Many people missed their hotel pickup because of this. Advice to...

We spent four nights at this hotel this week as part of our Iceland trip. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the room was compact but very clean, modern, well presented and cosy! The location was ideal for us to explore the capital on foot with some amazing sea views! The room had under floor heating which was...

The hotel location was nice. It was easy to reach by car and within walking distance to Harpa, old Reykjavik, and the old harbor. The staff were friendly. We were greeted every time we entered the building. We had no issues with check-in/out. The one odd interaction was when we asked for a dinner reservation at a restaurant in town....

Hotel Arnarhvoll is a great place to stay when visiting Reykjavik. The rooms were compact but very comfortable. The view I had was of the Harpa Center and the ocean - gorgeous! Everyday breakfast was delicious and fresh. The view from the restaurant, which is on the 8th floor, was unbelievable. I had dinner there and it was wonderful, the...

We arrived at this hotel from another Center hotel. The reception was very much better than the previous one.We were greeted by a smiling gentleman called Patrick who made us feel welcome immediately. We felt we were valued as guests and nothing was missed in informing us of hotel facilities. The room was on the second floor with a view...

Good central location to the main shopping area of reykjavik, seemed to be last picked up and first dropped off from excursions for us anyway. Staff very helpful with questions and Alice was as as lovely to look at as to talk to. Food was very good for dinner and a simple but effective buffet style breakfast. Great views of...

It's been a nice stay in the hotel. The room with an amazing view and all comodities, the breakfast very enjoyable and the staff very very useful and kind. You have straight ahead the white mountains now in winter, and the sea. Harpa is so close, and the main commercial street or the downtown are very near too. Thank you...

This is a great hotel. Clean, in an excellent location for downtown (opposite the Harpa with great views when you are having breakfast in the sky bar. One of my favourite hotels ever, staff very helpful and kind. Checking in and out was easy, No fuss.
