We stayed there for a week. We just came back last night (Oct 12, 2014). The location is great. It is just a 10-minute walk to Helmmur bus station where you can get on the bus to go anywhere in greater Reykjavik. There are restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and shopping all within a walking distance. The hotel offers buffet breakfast...

My stay at Hotel Bjork in October was my 4th in 8 years. When I was checking out, it came out in quiet conversation that the hotel was closing at the end of this year. Kea Hotels, which owns this hotel among others, announced that since they didn't own the building that they were going to build a new hotel to...

Although it is a little out of the way of the centre of the city, it is well within walking distance. The outside of the hotel may not be the nicest but inside more than makes up for that. The rooms were very clean and spacious, with a TV with a few British channels. There was also tea and coffee...

We spent 3 nights at Hotel Bjork as part of a package trip. As an earlier reviewer said photos seen in advance did not do hotel justice. Good size room, comfortable bed, bathroom fine although one niggle shower cubicle a little small. Reception always there and very helpful. Restaurant - breakfast included in package and fine. We, four of us,...

My partner and I stayed for 4 nights booked with a deal via Fleetway travel. From viewing the reviews and pics before we travelled I wasn't expecting too much. However, on arrival I was pleasantly surprised as our room was a good size, with comfortable beds and a beautiful large window with stunning views of the mountains in the distance....

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Bjork. The location is great and the included breakfast saved my friend and I a lot of money. The rooms were clean and spacious (the beds were very comfortable) and the staff was incredibly friendly. I got in hours earlier than my check-in time and they kindly got the room ready for me...

During most of our iceland trip we stayed through airbnb but a tour group booked us in hotel bjork. The bed(s?) was two twins pushed together with the euro style duvets (we are American) so you could feel the split in the middle. Room was small but tidy. Bathroom was quite small and shower tiny! The restaurant & shopping area...

We loved our stay at Hotel Bjork, the ideal launch pad for Iceland trips and tours. All the excursions with free pick up knew this hotel well. We loved: - the rooms (good size, clean, comfy bed, warm, and beautiful views) - the staff (friendly and helpful) - the location - the shop across the road (best store bought sushi...

First of all, i was amazed that some reviews called the rooms smallish. We have traveled extensively all over Europe and these rooms are the biggest i have found, especially for a moderately priced hotel. That said, the hotel is very clean, the staff is warm and informative, the breakfast buffet saves you a fortune, and the hotel restaurant very...

Booked a double room for one night, including breakfast. Hotel has a free parking outside. Receptionist was very nice, helpful and spoke very good english (as do most of the Icelandic people). We had a room on the third floor, it was quite small but nice. Beds were very comfy and we had a good nights sleep, even though the...
