We had gotten a bit overwhelmed with driving every day and it was lucky that we hit the wall as we were arriving on the Westmann Islands to stay at Guesthouse Hamar. We stayed for one night early August 2016 and it was definitely the best accommodation of our Iceland trip. Large rooms, very quiet yet very central. The breakfast was generous and delicious. Highly recommended

We stayed for three nights. Our room on the second floor was quite large, clean, and very pleasant. We also saw that they have a large number of Japanese-style "compartment hotel" beds, but we didn't try these out! (They are apparently imported from China). The service is very friendly and helpful, and the prices reasonable for Iceland (that is, expensive)....

We stayed here for two nights and were pleased with all aspects of the guesthouse. The staff were pleasant and efficient, offering to help in all aspects of our visit. The included breakfast buffet was ample with fresh-baked breads, juices, fruit, meat cheese, cereal and other foods all available. the rooms were large with comfortable beds and bedding. We could...
