It was a cozy little nice cottage near Vik. It was our first night in Iceland and we checked into this cottage. Since the cottage is middle of nowhere with no lights, we saw northern lights on our first day. This cottage also has a fully equipped kitchen. Only problem we had was the electricity went off at midnight and...

To be fair, most of Iceland was peace and quiet, but you really have no noise here apart from the cows so a good night's sleep is guaranteed. We unfortunately didn't have the smoothest of check ins due to our cottage having had a plumbing issue that day! The owner had arranged somewhere else for us to stay, and assured...

A very charming cottage with solid amenities (heat, stove, oven, fridge, wifi). Easy check-in and a delightful secluded spot close enough to Vik to be able to grab some dinner! The wifi was spotty but that's really my only complaint!

Nice clean little cozy cottage which able to house 4 person comfortably. Small kitchen for cooking with all amenities provided. A superb place for aurora hunting. Towels are provided. There's also hair dryer. There's optional tours like horse riding... etc. met the friendly host who actually stay nearby the 6 cottages. I was so lucky to see strong northern lights...

Stayed here for one night while travelling the Ring Road in October. The cottage was well equipped and clean. Receptionist was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The cottage is easy to find and there are lots of cute and photogenic sheep on the road down to the cottages. Very safe for a single, female traveller (as all of...

The lodging was comfort and cozy for 4 persons. Super friendly sheep dog that come every morning to say 'hi' :) Easy to access and near to Vik. The area is not so packed and very relaxing. Good place to see auroras if you are lucky. Reasonable price for a amazing stay.

Loved this destination. Small, cosy and warm, perfect for 2 in the winter. When we arrived my partner was greeted by the friendliest Icelandic person that we met during our whole trip, she was lovely. We used Hvoll as a base to visit Gulfoss and Geysir. On the first day it was blowing a hoolie so we opted to stay....

This one is a little distance away from Vik (10-12 km) towards Reykjavik. It is right next to the sea and offers hands down wonderful views. We had a foggy morning - even then it was quite great. It is a 10-15 min walk to the beach (black sand) from here. primary attractions for the area - stones, black sand...

Small but cozy. Slightly tight for 5 adults, especially if you have big luggages. Kitchen has enough utensils to cook a meal. We arrived on a stormy night and experienced a power failure due to strong winds. Staff came after a while to explain and offer alternative cottage.

It's not camping but you get a nice comfortable cottage and it feels like you're in the wilderness because you are one of the few cottages in an empty land with some sheep from a distance. The environment was nice and serene and check in was good and easy. Finding the place wasn't too hard when there isn't a lot...
