Had a great overnight stay here. Would love to have spent longer in this beautiful little town. The owners are great people and the location is perfect. Lots to do in the area check out Flatey Island if you get a chance, or take the shellfish tour. Cheers guys

One night in this cute hostel next to the harbour. The hostel is a little bit old but cosy. The staff is very friendly. There is a kitchen with all you need to cook and a nice dining room in a veranda.

I was there with only one family. The walls are thin, but this wasn't a problem when almost no one is there. For the price, you can't expect more than this. The room and bathrooms were clean, the people were friendly, the location is close to the harbour. Only minus is that I woke up with a sore back the...

For a Hostel, the experience was not that bad. Our room was just off the kitchen/common area, and we could hear Everything that was going on outside our room. If you do stay, room 14 is located in the common area (what?) and room 4 and 5 are going to have the best views of the harbor. The price is...

We stayed only one night during our trip around Iceland. This is the cheapest place in Stykkisholmur but it's worth its price. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the staff is helpful. One con: the walls are very thin and probably when our daughter start crying everyone could hear her.

We had to check in very late after a big day of driving, once we did we had a whole room to ourselves. The beds were comfortable and it seemed like a lovely place to stay. I wish we were planning on staying more than one night, the village that it was located in looked like a nice place as...

Very basic hostel with small rooms and old beds, furniture and bathrooms. Even by Icelandic architectural standards the walls are very thin, so you can hear every conversation your neighbours are having. There is only a small kitchen with little equipment but a large enough dining room and the terrace has great views over the harbour indeed.

paper thin walls, dirty and old. no curtains on the window. I would not go back here or stay here again. it was really unpleasing and not worth it. People were loud and drunk as well. The town is really nice with a great pool though.

So I arrived after the usual tourist season in mid October on my own. Had the place to myself the first night I arrived with everything organised by the fantastic Sara who even scoured the bus times for me. The place was lovely and warm throughout with the greatest shower I have ever come across - well once I had...
