Nestled in a tranquil setting, Samsara Ubud has earned accolades for its serene atmosphere, enhanced by lush landscapes and live music. Travelers rave about the luxurious amenities, such as private pools and wellness activities, while praising the hotel's cleanliness and attention to detail. The service at Samsara Ubud is repeatedly described as attentive and personalized, adding to the overall value that guests appreciate. Although the location is mostly celebrated for its peacefulness, it may feel remote to some. The spacious and well-kept rooms with private pools also receive high marks, although a few guests suggest they could benefit from minor updates.

Just a great boutique hotel!
Check-in was immediately upon arrival (hours at 12:00).

Huge, drenched in greenery, clean territory, a large swimming pool next to the river, among the greenery, few people (met someone a couple of times at breakfast, once at dinner, and once in the pool), the feeling that you are alone on the whole complex. Photos on the booking are completely consistent!

Large, clean, beautiful villa with snow white linen, private swimming pool, sun loungers. The villa has everything you need, very good cosmetics, bathtub, 2 showers, one of which is in the patio among the greenery.

Just a divine breakfast on the menu: excellent coffee, fraiche, baked buns only, eggs poached with lobster, granola with yogurt and fruit, you can list to infinity everything you have had time to taste in 4 days. Very beautiful and aesthetic restaurant, rising at the level of crowns of trees, palms and other plants, with excellent views. For dinner, the restaurant lit lanterns and lights on the tables to give the dinner romanticism. The background is jazz music. Dinner was always in the hotel restaurant, nowhere else in Bali in 3 weeks ate so delicious. Even the burger was great. Price is adequate, meets 100% quality! Alcohol is quality, cocktails are delicious. Even if I wanted to, there was nothing to pick on.

Excellent staff, good cleaning of the villa, constant replacement of all towels, for the pool included. Ice will be brought to the villa on request. Free shuttle service to the center of Ubud twice a day (to and from), you need to book the day before, as only you are taken by car.

Located hotel 20 minutes by taxi from Ubud, rice fields in 10 minutes. Taxis come fast, not expensive.

It rained at night, the linen dries for a very long time, it would be great to have a towel dryer.

To sum up, this is a hotel you want to go back to more than once!

We spent a week at Samsara Ubud and had a great time. The staff was very welcoming and the location was very lush and quiet, although slightly far from ubud center (though closer to Tegalalang and Mt Batur). Since there were only 17 villas, it never felt crowded there and we had lots of privacy. We enjoyed our Balinese massages with Ayu and Desak. The spa surroundings were lovely and the tea served was also very tasty. The hotel staff was very responsive by WhatsApp, and we liked that they provided free shuttles to and from Ubud (though the timing was somewhat limited, but they did give our friends a free ride to have dinner with us).

Decor of the room was spacious and comfortable. My daughter enjoyed bathing in the tub and I liked the outdoor shower. We appreciated the generous daily breakfasts, but the dinner meals were more hit or miss. We did a bbq (with performance) one night and the performers were all great (cute kids) but some of us thought the portions were a bit small. The barramundi and chocolate mousse dishes were excellent but the chicken parm and the black rice dessert dishes were not that great.

I would encourage the hotel to increase some of their sustainability efforts. For example, there was a sign that they would not change towels if they were hung up, but I think the staff changed the towels and sheets daily anyway until I requested them to stop. Also, it might be better to provide larger glass bottles of water in the rooms and not use plastic to seal the tops (or at least use less plastic if you have larger bottles).

A Smooth Start! We arrived a bit late and were greeted with a seamless check in process that made us feel at ease right away. After a long day of travel, we were ready for a good meal, and the dinner was just what we needed. Delicious, comforting, and the perfect way to wind down. We were then escorted to our villa and I was immediately struck by the beauty and tranquility of the space. The villa was a private sanctuary, and I felt so relaxed the moment I stepped inside.

A Day of Exploration and Comfort! the resort made getting around Ubud super easy. One of us took the shuttle to Ubud was punctual and comfortable, offering a stress-free way to explore the area. Back at the villa, housekeeping was on point – our room was tidied up and we received a second cleaning which made the space feel even more welcoming. That evening, we enjoyed a dining in our villa, it was the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring, and the food was as wonderful as everything else at the resort.

More Ubud Adventures & Excellent Service! The next day, we had breakfast at The Kelusa. I loved how fresh everything was, and the view from the dining area was absolutely stunning.

A Lovely Send-Off! On our final morning, we enjoyed it without feeling rushed. The resort arranged our check out and transport to the airport and the process was quick and smooth. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, and it was the perfect end to a restful stay.

Samsara Ubud has truly captured my heart. It’s one of those places that makes you feel completely at peace, yet also pampered and cared for. From the friendly and attentive staff to the beautiful surroundings and luxurious accommodations, everything about this resort is designed with relaxation in mind. Whether you’re looking to unwind or explore Ubud, Samsara Ubud offers the perfect balance. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, thanks barry!

We came here on our honeymoon. I was able to escape from the noisy city and enjoy accommodation in the rainforest. When we came, there weren't many people, so we were able to enjoy the quiet sounds of rain and wind and the sounds of nature, and the facilities were clean. The staff was friendly and responsive, and we were able to enjoy a meal in the rainforest with live jazz in the evening. As another activity, I enjoyed an art class with Budi. I was really happy for 3 days and 2 nights. Tari and Teja always smiled and accepted our requests.
The bedding was clean and soft and the pillows were comfortable. The air conditioner was cool and there was no mold smell. Towels were always generous and clean.
I was able to swim at night thanks to the slightly warm pool, and the water in the pool was clean. The night sky seen from here is the best memory and scenery. The stars in the night sky floating on the water will remain in my memory forever.
Veni and Ayu's Balinese massage was the best. Thanks to the massage, I was able to fully relax and rest. I left my sunglasses behind after the massage, but I found them.
And Kerusa Restaurant had the best food I've ever had. My husband's requests (except for the lemongrass) were listened to. Also, the jasmine pearl atmosphere was delicious. The migori and lobster & eggs here were the best and the satayam was really soft. I want to come here again.
I am very grateful to Adi, Lhudi, Geni, and the rest of the staff.
We would like to thank them again for making our honeymoon the best, and we will be back in 5 years!

Although this is a small hotel, in my opinion, it’s one of the best value in Ubud.
We stayed at the two bedroom villa.
The room was new, clean, and spacious although some materials felt cheap.
The staffs were absolutely amazing, especially Mr.Musgi, who had made our stay very memorable:)Shout out to him!
The location felt isolated, in a good way. Very nice for a hideout. But I do say it will be inconvenient for those who focus on traveling famous tourist spots.
The food was great. We had in villa breakfast. And the food was mild, suitable for people who doesn’t like southern East Asian spices. We never had lunch or dinner at the restaurant, but we definitely liked the food. For breakfast we especially recommend Burbur Ayam and homemade pancakes.
The other thing I want to mention is the pool. It’s HEATED.The water was quite clean, unlike some hotels we stayed.
The stay at the Samsara Ubud was very special for us.Throw away all your doubts and just go;)

The hotel is very remote, about 30 minutes from Ubud. On the one hand, that's wonderful, as it's a bit in the jungle and away from all the tourists, but on the other hand, if you value being close to Ubud, it's a bit far away - the former was true for us.

Our room was very nice and had a great pool. The service in the hotel was very friendly and accommodating, although some employees got you a bit too involved in conversation, while other employees were all the more professional and extremely attentive.

The first massage was absolutely top-notch and fantastic, but the second was unfortunately not that special.

The food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) was consistently very good and the cocktails very good.

The pool, which goes directly into the jungle, was also super cozy, as was the whole outdoor area. The yoga sessions at 7 a.m. are highly recommended; you can really relax with the sound of the waterfall in the background.

On request, a scooter was organized for us for a very fair price.

Loved this place so much, from the moment we came until the moment we left the property. Everyone in this Villa was kind and friendly. From the security guard in the first line, the receptionist, the restaurant staff, and all of the staffs we met. They welcomed us with welcome drinks, cold towels, and some cookies, it was a very nice touch. The room was big, with a very beautiful bath room. The water pressure was good enough and the hot water too. The amenities were so complete, tooth brush, razor, vanity kit, comb, etc. I almost forget to mention digital weight scale, nice touch. Body soap, shampoo, conditioner, were made exclusive for Samsara and they smelled sooo goood. We got daily tropical fruits. Each room had a private pool and heated so it was warm even when we wanted to swim late in the night. We could hear the sound of the waterfall near the main pool (which was heated too), so relaxing and serene. In the night, the pool looked bright blue, because it had blue lights in it. Breakfast was good too. It was a la carte breakfast. We could chose from the menu. I had lobster and egg and it tasted delicious. Extra cost IDR 100 K cause I traveled with 2 children. 1 child got a free breakfast and the other costed half of the breakfast cost. Their croissant tasted so good too.
