This is a lovely small hotel in the heart of the mountains and the perfect base for some walking. We stayed two nights and Paco was an impeccable host. We stayed here as part of a package deal. Tarbena is a very small village - so, don't expect too much excitement. Paco is the owner of this hotel. We stayed two nights here. From the initial welcome and throughout our stay, Paco, the owner/manager who speaks fluent English, was interested in our walking plans and made helpful suggestions. Extremely unprofesional. Prices on the website and what is charged do not match up. After doing a reservation online and confirming it by email and phone, we arrived to be told that we had not reserved, we could not have dinner and if we did not pay up front we could not stay in the hotel (this was all said...

We had an overnight in this lovely hotel in October as part of a trek on the Marinas Alta. it was by far the best accommodation of the trek.The bedroom was clean, cosy and tastefully decorated. This was my first trip to the mountain region beyond Alicante, a small village called Tarbena where the local people go about their daily routines in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
