We were asked if we would accept an 'upgrade' and also swap rooms on the last night, which was fine..we got a disabled suit which was great but the bathroom sink was low down which was fun for shaving! The breakfasts were fantastic such a choice and great omelettes made to order. Staff were very pleasant and welcoming. Slightly 'tired'...

We (partner and I) had a 10-night stay in this hotel, in a 4th-floor room overlooking the bay. We were really pleased with the view, especially as we had not paid extra for this. The room was spacious, clean, with plenty of storage space for clothes/shoes etc. and plenty of seating. In the bathroom, the shower was excellent but there...

Stayed at the calypso hotel for six days with my partner and our 13 year old son and was quite dissapointed. when we checked in at the reception the first thing I was asked for was the payment in advance and I have always paid when we leave in all the hotels that we have ever stayed at. The lobby...

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, with the location right on the front in Marsalforn the best quality. Although the rooftop pool area is a little soul less the view is amazing! I found the wi-fi to be unpredictable (didnt work in the room but was fine in reception and at the rooftop bar). The breakfast was adequate and...

A big thank you to Chris Keegan, barman and receptionist, who really looked after my wife and I during our recent stay. He was absolutely brilliant and extremely helpful throughout our stay. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't have known that we were entitled to an early breakfast on the day of our departure. Cheers mate and take care.

Having just returned from holiday, I had a fairly good stay at the Calypso. There was a variety of breakfast food stuffs and the hotel was pretty quiet. I guess having the air con on masked most of the surrounding noise - mainly the other guests in their rooms dragging their chairs across the floor. Yes, the TVs were dated...

The calypso may be the best hotel in marsalforn , but it is at best a two star hotel. The mattresses are the cheapest, lumpiest they could find and the same is true of the pillows. The bed linen is old and when we arrived even though it looked like the room had been cleaned, they had not changed the...

Great value, very clean, staff really good, especially Frank the barman on roof terrace. Wi-fi needs a serious upgrade. Bay view and sea view rooms worth the upgrade over the cheaper ones. Breakfast good, if there early which we were most days as diving, but on a couple of days off , got there at 0945 and no croissants left.

This was our third stay at the Calypso and we enjoyed it just as much as the previous times. As other reviews have mentioned, the staff (especially Frank, Manuel, Connie and Chris) are so friendly and want to make sure you have a great time at their hotel and on the island. We found the room very well equipped and...

My wife and I just returned from a two week stay at the Calypso Hotel, Marsalforn, Gozo and enjoyed it very much. We had previously spent a holiday on Malta but this time decided to try the delights of the smaller island, Gozo, which we were led to believe was rather less commercialized and this indeed proved to be the...
