I really liked the hotel and staff for my visit this year. Yes minor faults in the room, but this is a 3-star hotel, so did not expect a flawless experience. The staff was always friendly and helpful, I was mainly there for warmer weather and ankle rehab via the pool onsite, which I might add was great. The O'Brian bar staff are busy at times and that can delay service, but it's not meant to be busy like a UK pub. The room was acceptable with a balcony view of a new build called the Trilogy, so although they started work at 6.30 am the double-glazed door kept a vast amount of the noise out. The best balcony experience would be poolside as this captures the sun for most of the day, and 1st floor has an extended balcony with a table and a sun umbrella. The reception also has a supply of towels for the pool, so you do not have to take the towels out of your room. Checking in and out was great, and they have a spare area for luggage to be kept after checking out so you can still explore the area before your taxi arrives back at the airport. I shall look forward to returning to this hotel, based on the service and the prices.

Worst service and rude impolite reception staff. Stressful nervous blonde woman in the reception have no idea what hospitality is. Shame. Unbelievable they deserve 1 star hotel no more. It’s even incorrect to call the place hotel.

the renovated rooms are discent and being cleened daily, the staff was polite but there are three main disadvantages. 1) the beds are extremelely small and you cannot have a comfortable sleep, 2) the curtains do not close well enough so the light is entering into the room early mornings, 3)the glass of the bathtub covers only a part of it, so you have to be squized during taking your bath. It can be improved because the facilities are nice!

This hotel has everything you need for a shirt visit to Cyprus. We stayed for a couple of nights and it was all great. The hotel is not modern but you can tell it has been remodelled and the furniture in the bedrooms is quite new. The breakfast was great (the coffee not so much) but the food was very very good , and the same goes for the pool bar - really good cocktails and food. Overall great value for money and the location is absolutely perfect, 5 min walk from the beach.

We booked for three days… lasted just one night! Managed to sleep for 2-3 hours, when the next door party finally stopped! Walls are paper thin - service is terrible! The hotel and the rooms are very dated (definitely not renovated in 2011… maybe 1971! ). Hard pillows, itchy bed linen, mould in bathroom tiles, stained bed throw. Smoking in reception area. Aircon was so noisy that we had to turn it off and then had to put up with cars racing from the main road. The establishment asked to check out neighbouring party but nothing done about it! We complained in the morning asking to refund the two remaining nights they refused!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL P/s: …we should have check it better ourselves before booking, so it is our fault as well.

Excellent place with welcoming cozy atmosphere and really friendly staff and management, in particular Mr. Christos Spyrou. Great location, with just under 1 min walk to the beach and super lovely walk on the promenade. Value for money and soul ❤️🌸

Response from Marketing Manager, General Manager at Kapetanios Odyssia
Responded 18 Sep 2022
Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to give us your feedback. We always welcome feedback positive or negative as this help us to maintain and improve our high standards. We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations during your stay with us. Kindly note that after the summer of 2015, Kapetanios Odysseia closed for eight months and proceeded with far-reaching renovations that have changed both the face and the facilities of our hotel. When we re-opened in June 2016, our new and repeat guests were delighted with the changes. The modern and impressive entrance now leads to upgraded guest rooms, a new look in the corridors, and a completely new outdoor pool with jacuzzi, as well as a new children’s pool and playground. Only recently, all the Deluxe rooms on the two top floors (6th and 7th ) have been completely renovated. Please note that Smoking is not allowed except in the designated smoking areas outside the building. We have noted all the various points that you have raised for the improvement of our services and facilities and these are points that we shall look into and please rest assured that where necessary we shall take the relevant corrective measures. Once again we wish to thank you for having taken the time to let us have your views and in closing, we do hope that you will give us another opportunity to prove to you that we can really do offer excellent value for money. Yours Sincerely, The Management

It is amazing for families. It has a great pool that is very refreshing, and there are 3 hot tubs. It also has a incredible Buffet and a delicious breakfast with a variety of fruits and pastries. Rooms we’re clean and I would stay here again. Reviewed by Kyle (age 9)

From 1st to 7th may 2022, it was my third time in Kapetanios. The hotel has totally lost many points during the years. Bad maintenance, bad cleaning, not all reception staff is suitable to welcome guest. Holes in the bed sheet, in the sofa, dirty basin. At my arrival I was given a room and the next day they wanted me to change because they were wrong. I asked to give the other room to other people, they didn't and didn't apologise at all. A person of my group left a jacket in the wardrobe, we said immediately to the reception, they answer to say to the morning staff, morning staff to evening staff, enening staff to afternoon staff. They lost the jacket. Breakfast is standard with low quality industrial sweet pastries, no biscuits, no real espresso. Look at pics. My third and last time!

Another great stay at Kapetanios Odyessia. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. Everything from check in to check out was stress free. The pool was really quiet for the kids and it’s a good location if you want to walk to the park or sea front. We always stay here when visiting Limassol and it has never let us down. Not in the main tourist area so may be a bit quiet for some but great for us and a good location if you want to walk to either the old town/port or up to Dasoudi beach.
