Very tired hotel, rooms minimal rather scruffy and needs a good update, staff helpful and food ok, no tea making facilities but asked and they were provided, had problems with the toilet backing up but fixed quickly by the staff, I think it’s a common problem as the original hotel has 3 more floors added to the original, it’s a noisy location with lots of boy racers blasting around in the evening, lots of building work going on adjacent buildings. "SPA “is in the basement again very tired and not inviting at all, you have to pass the garage spaces so lots of exhaust smells and past the janitors room reeking of tobacco smoke,. Shower area to spa was also very tired , sauna not working and controls broken. Outside pool ok ( very cold at this time of the year) but the view is not and photographs on the website make it look much better than it is. Lovely view of the rubbish bin and car park, Wouldn’t stay again, luckily it was a base for meeting friends elsewhere.

Arrived late evening/early morning and check in was smooth and easy and was allocated Room 111. Which was a good size clean & tidy with the usual in room amenities. However there was a couple of issues. The Balcony Door locking pin a bit stiff to pull out and the other was the Safe which failed to open on my last night but Reception soon sorted it out. Now for the Breakfast which was OK apart from the cereal and the so called Sausages which looked like Tinned Hotdogs. The Gym/Indoor Pool and Outdoor Pool looked OK [never used]. All the Staff i dealt with were Friendly and Polite. Can't remember any names. There are plenty of Restaurants and Shops for getting something to eat other than the Hotel which i never used.

My girlfriend and I couldn't be happier we chose this hotel. We stayed from 26th of August until 2nd of September. We initially thought we wouldn't spend too much time in the hotel because we wanted to explore the island but the outdoor pool was great, never crowded, excellent food, staff was very polite and we enjoyed learning some greek words with them, so we spent more time resting in this hotel than we predicted and we don't regret it. We wanted a nice hotel but we didn't wanna go overboard on some high luxury resort so this was the perfect choice. Next time we're in Cyprus, we're definitely coming back. Ευχαριστώ Kapetanios!

Decent hotel, with a nice outdoor pool and bar. The pool got good sun throughout most of the day and had a good number of sunbeds. The bar staff were friendly and the reception staff very helpful with providing pool towels and ordering taxis when needed. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable and we slept well most nights. The breakfast was average. The hot items were ok, but the hotdog sausages were not the greatest. There was a good choice of breads and a few cereal options too, but would have liked more fruit. Some of the hotel decor was a bit run down, but despite this it was kept nice and clean. The gym was a nice addition, but sadly half the equipment did not work. Overall a good stay and better value than a lot of nearby hotels, so would certainly consider again if we are back in Limassol.

Stayed 2 nights, half board, in room 514. First off surprised at some of the reviews on here as not our experience at all. Found all hotel staff friendly, obliging and helpful. Room had a lovely sea view, not disturbed by any traffic noise. Comfy bed, good air con, clean & tidy and modern in terms of fixtures/fittings. Good breakfast with plenty of cold or hot choices. Evening meal was fine - large portions and good choices. Pool area not over crowded and enough sun beds. Excellent location for the sea front. All in all a good hotel and would return.

This hotel is described as 3 star but I'd probably describe it as more like 3.8. It has good comfortable facilities although is in need of an update in many places, especially the bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Breakfast satisfactory with choice of cold and hot buffet. Has a great pool with sunbeds. Ideal for a lounge about day. Both indoor and outdoor pools available. Neither heated.

Could be a nice hotel but has problems. The rooms, both old and new, are in a poor state of repair and certainly the cleaning standards need to be improved greatly. Arrived and was allocated our 'superior' room 214, very dated, dirty bathroom ceiling, stained bed, thinnest mattress ever. Immediately asked to be moved as the room was unacceptable. Hotel was full of students and contractors so could not be moved until the following day. Moved to 513. Laminate floor worn, stained and damaged, skirting falling off, bathroom ceiling panels not installed properly, towel rail falling off. Bed not changed and bath not cleaned until I asked reception after 6 days of thinking they will do it tomorrow. bedding and towels old, fraying and discoloured. Wall mounted hairdryer not wall mounted so the plastic box swings about when drying hair. Had to ask for toilet roll. Little bottles of handwash and shampoo provided, surely wall mounted refillable dispensers would be better for the environment. Cleaning was terrible. The car park next door is where the kids rev the knackers off their cars of an evening and feels unsafe at night- some friends were hassled there. The road at the bottom of the street is noisy and busy. The goodish things: The food from the a la carte menu was good, the chefs were fab. The outside bar was nice and the bar staff were lovely. But, the draft beer ran out 2 days before we left so had to pay extra for bottled beer. The pool area is nice and you can watch the skyscraper being built a few blocks down whilst relaxing in the sun! the pool area could all do with a good washing down though to remove the bird poo and spilt drinks. Limassol itself seems to have lost any charm it ever had, its locally owned bars and restaurants have mostly closed and are being replaced with Café Nero, Starbucks, KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, etc. The harbour area seems to be for millionaires, not your average holidaymaker and there are more plans to add big shiny expensive apartment blocks along the sea front. Would I go again? Absolutely not. I will return to Rethymnon in Crete where I know its clean and safe and I will be able to eat locally sourced home-made food , meet local people and enjoy the cleanliness of the small but perfect Astali hotel.

The Kapetanios is well located close to the beach and it has a swimming pool (unheated). Rooms have small balconies, wifi is included and it works well. However, rooms seem to have received no maintenance in decades. The mattresses are extremely old and uncomfortable, the furniture in general feels unclean, and cleanliness in the rooms was poor. It is the sort of hotel where you feel uncomfortable sitting on the armchair or leaving your clothing on the bed. The breakfast is included in the price, but it is of an extremely low quality, with terrible coffee and stale bread. The toiletries are extremely basic: soap and shower gel, and bathrooms are very small. However, everything works well and the water was hot.

Old decor hotel. Friendly staff but the hotel is plagued by noise from the car park behind it and to the side of rooms. Young people use the car park to race cars from 11pm until 2-3am approx and around the streets/beach front by the hotel so the noise echoes all up the hotel. Because the rooms are old, it’s very noisy in the 2nd floor room I was in with the car park directly in front of my balcony. The hotel staff are friendly enough but I would not recommend this place.
