Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
To avoid having to drive home at night after a concert, we booked a room at the Hotel Galántha. It is a fairly modern building, no more than 150 m from Esterhazy Castle - the venue - and therefore seemed ideal as accommodation. Unfortunately, the room we booked turned out to be very small (it reminded us of former GDR guest houses...) and rather strangely furnished... You can (just about) get into the comfortable double bed from both sides and you can (just about) open the window (onto a very busy street): but you get an impressive view of Esterhazy Castle and Eisenstadt. The rest of the furnishings are spartan and designed solely to save space. There is no wardrobe for clothes, only a clothes rail, and there is a safe in a drawer (!)... The only place you can "stay" in the evening - e.g. to watch TV - is actually the bed. There is an armchair at a kind of desk and another "armchair stool" next to the bed - both of which are unsuitable for comfortable sitting... The shower is barrier-free in all directions - after a shower of normal length, the water from the shower runs towards the room!
In summary: This is definitely a suitable hotel for a short stay for those with little demands - we have given up looking for the reasons for the 4th star!

I definitely pinned my hopes to high. My reservation was booked for the next day. The wooden bench in the reception area had some of the upright wooden connection sticks sticking out. The hotel opened only a year ago. Supposedly 4 stars. So be aware with little children. The described opulent breakfast buffett was rather low key, as there were not a lot of guests, and in our opinion not worth € 29,-. Fair and square, but only if guests do not get charged the full amount. There were about 3 waiter attending this breakfast buffett, underneath our table though seemed that the broom had missed out that morning. As well as the cloth to wipe the table.

Everything was great except for the breakfast chaos and the evenings We were in Eisenstadt with our extended family for a 30th and 60th birthday. The breakfast team has no system whatsoever, we had breakfast on a Saturday, there were several waiters and waitresses. But nobody had an overview, nobody was responsible for a certain station. The fruit and vegetable press is brilliant, but if nobody takes care of refilling and emptying... then it's of NO avail. Several family members kept missing various dishes, croissants, salmon, dark bread, spreads... employees constantly had to be asked to refill something. We have never seen such a disorganized bunch in the whole world. Super nice new hotel, chaos at breakfast. Nobody asked us if we were staying there or asked for our room number, so the whole of Eisenstadt could have breakfast there. Such a shame ☹️ The wellness area is brilliant, the rooms are just missing cupboards....

During the festival visit to Mörbisch & St. Margarethen we stayed at this hotel, in short, everything was perfect and clean and quiet , we felt very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great! The location is very central and beautiful, we will gladly come back.

The entire (totally inflated) price (€695 for 2 nights) was charged to the credit card in January, not deposited as security as usual. And that was for a stay in July! We were given a smaller room than friends who later booked cheaper on booking.com. The individual components of the arrangement (Carmen and a meal) were cheaper than the so-called arrangement. The hotel's facilities are equivalent to a Motel One, except for the price. The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired in some places. The breakfast dishes are not cleared away from empty places for 45 minutes. The evening meal included in the arrangement is no longer available at 9 p.m. When this was pointed out to the management in a friendly manner, the response was arrogant and no reason for complaint was seen, instead the expensive construction costs were pointed out.

You are given a very friendly welcome right from the start and at this point a big compliment to the young lady with the black curly hair at the reception, you really rarely find such a friendly welcome!
The rooms are very nice, the breakfast buffet offers everything your heart desires and special requests are also fulfilled.
There is a large, great spa area and a small room with some fitness equipment and a virtual trainer (very cool).
Another highlight is certainly the large rooftop bar on the 4th floor with a view of the castle and the wide Burgenland.

We were in the roof top bar, very nice, but the chairs are very heavy and once you sit down it's hard to get up. We had a reservation so getting a seat wasn't a problem, the cocktails were very good, the snacks very expensive, but plentiful and very good. The view is fantastic and a visit is highly recommended.
What we noticed was that everything was reserved and when guests came they were turned away with the explanation that everything was reserved. We were there from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and most of the tables were empty. It's possible that someone came later. You could write "reserved until....." and let people sit down in the meantime. There's clearly a problem with the organization.

My family (me, my wife and our lovely 11 months old baby daughter) visited the hotel restaurant for the first and the last time on Sunday 30.10.2022 to enjoy a lunch and time together. We knew that the hotel was totaly new and we expected there at least a good and tasty food. Unfortunately the new hotel's restaurant on the ground floor next to the lobby needed only one thing. Hospitality! Nobody noticed us after entering the restaurant and we had to ask waiters for their attention. When we sat down at the table we heard the complain from one woman sitting behind us with her friend (they were the only other guests in the restaurant apart from us) that her pasta sauce was extremely salty and with hair in it! The waiter appologized her and she changed her order to Caesar salad. Based on her experience and very limited Sunday menu we ordered two Caesar salads. We waited 45 minutes and that was really weird because only 3 eating guests were in that time in the restaurant (the older lady behind us, me and my wife). The artifical lemon taste in our ordered water was terrible but that was nit the highlight. When the waiter came after long waiting he brought only the one salad for me and my wife! I still do not understand how this sutuation could happen in 4* hotel because immediately after our order I asked the waiter one more time to make BOTH salads with chicken and not vegetarian. During the time we waited for salads the other three couples came to the restaurant but nobody from waiters paid attention to them so they left. One other pair eas special becouse they asked waiters about possibility to sit down next to the window and the waiters left them wait 5 minutes for "Sorry it is no possible" answer. The problem I currently see in this hotel restaurant is missing hospitality hand in hand with open eyes and ears. If the restaurant cannot handle 3 "eating" (the older lady behind us, me and my wife) guests and a few questions it will be even bigger dissaster with higher number of guests. Me and my wife left the restaurant without paying (we drank half of the water only) and eating - we didn't touch the salad. We complained to the waiter that we wouldn't wait for other portion other 45 minutes. During leaving we were hungry and we heard the waiters discussiun wheter they shiuld have forced us to pay us for water or not.

The location of the hotel is great. The rooms are modern. Unfortunately, they are too cold and dark for winter (the lamps give off far too little light and are sometimes poorly positioned). Very friendly staff. The rooftop bar is also highly recommended. The only exception is the Christmas market - here they sell tea as mulled wine for a lot of money. The breakfast is also not recommended - hardly any seats, the tables are not cleared away and hardly anything is replenished - it's a total mess.

Excellent location and super stylish design, comfortable rooms and an excellent breakfast. Also a lovely rooftop bar. Pet friendly. A wide garage. Very accomodating and helpful staff Everything one can wish for. I suggest to reserve directly and not through orher webpages - the price was better directly.
