I was very impressed by the size of the rooms of this Hotel. They are quite big for what I was expecting when i saw the photos of the hotel.
Overall I had a good time in the place. The staff was friendly although not everyone spoke English we manage to get everything we need without any problems
The good localization was also a plus for us because we could go everywhere walking.
It's definitely a place to check out if you want a good place to sleep with a good price. It's not super fancy, but does the job pretty well.

This hotel is well placed, central and quiet. The Wifi works fine but the breakfast is basic with no frills. Hard boiled eggs, no omlettes. Friendly and helpful staff. I had a generally an enjoyable stay.

Thank you for your nice review. We are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay at our hotel and we look forward to see you hopefully again. In case of we are a 3*-Hotel we are really very sorry, that we have no full-equipped kitchen to prepare omlettes and ham&eggs ... We would be very pleased to have such a kitchen, but in the meantime of course you can have also a fresh boiled egg every time you ask for. Best wishes from Eisenstadt - Barbara, VICEDOM-Team

This charmer of hotel is in plain downtown Eisenstadt. There is easy pedestrian access to the Esterhazy Palace, Haydn House and the Jewish Museum. Only problem is parking in a narrow one way cul-de-sac. The rooms are spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I have stayed at this hotel a total of three times while conducting family history research at the diocese archive conveniently next door. Twice I arrived by Postbus from Vienna, which stops right outside the hotel, and once I have arrived by car and after checking in, parked at the municipal car park about 6 minutes' walk away. The hotel is very well maintained and rooms and bathrooms are all spic-and-span. While it is in a very quiet spot, do be aware that the church bells can be quite loud if you have the window open. Besides the bus station and the archive, the property is also close to restaurants and shopping, just a couple of blocks from the pedestrian zone and Hayden Museum and walking distance to the Esterhazy Castle and park. Breakfast is really nice in the very cosy breakfast room, and hosts are very friendly and helpful. I did not find the Internet charges very attractive, but in the meantime have come to rely on using my own data allowance on the mobile phone.

Spotlessly clean hotel! Very friendly host to a couple of Aussies who could not speak a word of Austrian or German. Great breakfast selection, close to main mall and walking distance to all Haydn and Lizt attractions.

I won't tell you that I found Eisenstadt a delightful town. We went because of its Haydn connection (and did enjoy a truly splendid concert in the Haydnsaal) but the town itself simply lacks charm. Too many of its Baroque buildings now house stores that have cut into the facades with little regard for architectural preservation. The Vicedom is quite new, absolutely spotless and equiped with bathrooms with truly splendid showers. After a week of four-star tub-only accommodations, standing in the shower (and it was a great shower) in the morning was a real treat. The mattress was a bit on the hard side but the room was good-sized and the breakfast buffet more than adequate. Ignore the warnings about "No Parking". You can pull up in front of the hotel long enough to unload baggage, then head for the town's open-air lot a short walk away.

I spent 4 days at this hotel while I was doing family history research at the nearby R.C. Diocesan Archives. The hotel served me very well. True, it seems hidden from view, but it is just behind the Dom (Cathedral) and on the inside of the town wall, so finding it should not be a problem. The fact that it is not directly on any street, makes it more quiet. Another problem might be that it has virtually no parking, but there is municipal parking near-by, below the town's wall. The property is family owned, service is in German and English. It is close to restaurants and shopping, less than 2 blocks from Main Street (the very scenic Hauptstrasse), and in walking distance of the Esterhazy Castle and gardens -- as well as the Haydn House. The local bus departure point is ca. 150 feet from the the hotel. The train station is a very short ride away. Alltogether this place is a good choice for those who don't want to pay the high prices some other hotels charge in Eisenstadt. I would recommend it to my friends and will go back should I have to visit Eisenstadt again.

Situated within a stone's throw of the cathedral, Martin at the reception desk was welcoming, humorous and helpful. My room was up a flight of stairs, with windows opening onto the Vicedom, a narrow and hidden alley which dead ends at the hotel. Big room with a soft bed. Large bathroom. Free WiFi with decent speed. Breakfast buffet on the courtyard.

Return visit, essentially unchanged: Great quiet (!) location in Eisenstadt dead center. Large rooms are clean, modern, if a bit bare. No restaurant, but there are several within 5 minutes walking. You can get a good night's sleep but not much more.

This hotel is clean, well-located with well designed rooms. It has an adequate breakfast and friendly cheerful service. A short walk to the Esterhazy Palace to hear concerns. It was the only room available in town but was pleasant, free wifi, comfortable room.
