this is a great place to visit this region, staff is very nice and welcome, it has two kinds of rooms, I think the cheapest and the suites are in the old european style, so if this is your taste, you can choose one of them if not in the upper floor there are more modern rooms with a very... More

Charming old world feel. Each room is different & spacious. Ours had a real WC, which was really charming. Love the spaciousness of the room, the vaulted ceiling. Very clean & comfortable (except if you are a couple, even though the beds are together creating a queen size, there is a gap between the mattresses.) We were here for the... More

Dear Guest, we thank you very much for your online comments. We always try our best to make each stay as beautiful as possible and we apologize if we appeared too reserved to you. Giovanni, our dog, did not apparently. We hope to welcome you another time in the future - maybe in summer!? Have a good winter time. More

This is a great place with great rooms, great decor and great views. The members of the staff are great too - friendly, helpful and always accommodative. They helped us in many ways while we were there and at the end of our visit actually drove us down to the bus stop which happened to be some distance away. This... More

We planned our stay here as a break on our 5 week European trip and as a special celebration. We booked the lowest category of room and were happy to be staying in a 16th castle. We were shown to a spacious room (No 20) with 3 windows overlooking the Danube and we were delighted as we spent time in... More

I am an extremely hard to please traveller. I booked another room at the hotel and asked if I could see a different room in another category. I do this quite a lot! They lady showed me 3 different rooms and I picked a beautiful room overlooking the Danube. They couldn't of been more helpful. The taster menu and matching... More

We stayed at this hotel over a weekend, which was planned long ahead. 6 months prior to arrival I have specifically asked by email for a nice light and quiet room in the best category, which was confirmed twice by email prior to our arrival. After check in, we got stuck in a dark, stuffy room under the roof with... More

We spent a night at Hotel Schloss during our recent trip to Austria. We arrived there by boat from Melk. Highly recommend the boat trip and the hotel. Very beautiful area and a nice, quiet, romantic stop in an otherwise hectic travel schedule.

From attentive reception staff, porter Robert, and restaurant staff - all ran like a good hotel should. Perfect room in every respect - chose the 3rd floor Lovely pre dinner drinks on the terrace, overlooking the Danube 2 courses outside, then moved indoors for dessert.

Dear guests, Thanks for your giving us such a great rating and feedback, which we certainly will pass on to our team. In 2006 we built a new floor on top, which now is our 3rd floor where you were accommodated in. Family Thiery tried their best to still keep a classic atmosphere inside of our new rooms - but... We stayed 2 nights. The good. Nice view over the Danube, breakfast area good particularly the terrace. Pool area pleasant The bad. Our room was small but fine. Only issue was it was very hot and difficult to cool. Eg. No fans. Some rooms are large and airy so select well.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your nice feedback. We are glad to read that you enjoyed your time with us, especially in our public areas. Yes, our rooms differ very much to each other from the smaller sized rooms, our classic rooms (ca. 20-22m²), over to our much more spacious deluxe rooms (ca. 45- 60m²). Furthermore we would... More
