First the facts. The Wallner is located about 3/4 of a mile from the Salzburg city center. The stop for bus #4 is located just north of the pension on the same side of the street and will take you to the "horse well" just on the north edge of the old city center, the first stop after the bus...

I booked 2 nights in a family room, but due to unforeseen circumstances, our arrival was delayed. I called at 6PM and was told we would be charged the full €100 for the missed night. I mentioned I had not seen this policy on their website or on my reservation confirmation. However I confirmed that we would definitely arrive the...

Great option for budget-minded travelers who want to be within walking distance of downtown Salzburg. Just minutes from the highly recommended Augstiner Brewery, this pension provides free parking and spacious rooms. Rooms were well accommodated for a pension (do not expect 4 star). Breakfast was pretty basic but included good coffee with hot milk. Would return to this pension.

We loved our stay in Pension Wallner !! For our purposes, spending two days in Salzburg while we toured Austria for a week, it was ideal. It is a family-run B&B in a residential section of the city, but almost all the attractions in the old part of Salzburg are within walking distance, including the Hohensalzburg Castle. The arena and...

Stayed in a two bedroom apartment . In principle this is a medium /lower standard - but for the rate the value is good and therefore I give it a 3 rating. Breakfast is available for a good price. The service is very friendly and good. Rooms are good and clean.

If you are looking for an inexpensive not too far from the city this is a good option, also the bus from the airport stop close to the place. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is simple but very good (coffee/tea, fresh bread with jam). The downsides are that the Internet (wifi, provided free) is very slow and cuts...

Pension Wallner has three floors of rooms (steps only, no elevator). The rooms are comfortable and there is free Wi-Fi although the connection was very slow. The bed was a mattress on a solid frame with a down comforter. The bathroom had no amenities but towels. The shower lacked a wall which then made for a very wet floor that...

Was passing through Salzburg and just needed a place for the night. Found Wallner on one of the info boards with free phone connection just outside the town, so it was easy to make the reservation. I hadn't any great expectations, but the pension turned out to be really good; it's a family run business so the service was good...
