We heard about this hotel from friends who had stayed before and we were very happy. Its very comfortable, clean and homely. It is a family run hotel and this made it so wonderfully special over Christmas time.

Very well located, close to the slopes, shops, restaurants. It even has a Mpreis in front of. The rooms are so big and generous, we even got an upgrade an received an apartment. The bathrooms are very clean and have high quality products. The breakfast is generous and tasty, many options for every taste. We really enjoyed our stay there and will come back for sure!

Our family of six enjoyed three nights in two three-person rooms. Both had balconies and were well-furnished. Hotel Resch is one block from the old city/main shopping area. It is three blocks from the Hahenkammbahn train station, so it is possible to easily get there without a car. The Hahenkammban cable car and Kitzbuheler horn cable cars are both also in walking distance, and take you to up into the Alps for wonderful hiking (with the chance to also hike down, including scrambling down a trail that parallels the Kitzbuheler World Cup downhill ski course and lets you see the jumps and insanely steep slopes and cutbacks the skiers must navigate). Kitzbhuhel is pretty savvy in its marketing and has brochures tailored for runners, walkers, and hikers, with specific courses/routes of varying challenge detailed. An excellent breakfast is provided at Hotel Resch. Swimming at Schwartz Zee (about 2 km out of town) is also fun.

We were lucky to find a last minute vacancy for one night during a long weekend. The room was a triple, quite spacious with a balcony looking over the street. We were not disturbed by any street noise and had a pleasant sleep on the comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely. Variety of fresh fruit and breads. Good selection of cheeses and hams. Eggs are made to order. They also have pastries and cakes. The staff were all friendly.

I stayed there as last minute trip after heavy snowfall was forecasted and I wanted to do some powder skiing, there is no reception at night time so the owner of the hotel stayed up late until I arrived and was very kind to me (was delayed 4 hours in between Munich and Kitzbuhel), very nice breakfast, maximum ten minutes walk to the Hannenkam Lift. The room was spacious and clean, very good standard for the number of stars, free parking in front of the hotel. No dinner but there is plenty of opportunities within a walking distance and there is restaurant located just in front of the hotel - it is part of the hotel but is is rented out to Italians. Walking distance to the historic centre, to the swimming pool as well as to the ski bus station in case you want to ski on the slopes on the other side of the town. Very good price for this ski resort!

I joined friends for a couple of days of skiing at very late notice and was lucky to get the last room in the Hotel Resch. Reception kindly booked me taxi transfers and helped with anything else I needed. The room was spacious and warm. The showers are great though a bath would have been ideal. The hotel is super convenient for the ski hire shops and main lift up the mountain - maybe 5 minutes walk. An even shorter walk away is the excellent Aquarena public swimming pool which has a very good (unisex) sauna. Don't make my mistake and try to go in with your swimming trunks on!

Stayed at the Hotel Resch in Kitzbuhel for 4-nights recently for a skiing holiday. Excellent central location, close to restaurants, bars, shops and the all important ski-lift stations. Warm and comfortable rooms with excellent showers. Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast and on-site restaurant both excellent to.
