Our hotel room was in the basement area, leveled with what looked like the courtyard. We could easily walk into it from the window. Our room was very small, with only one window. I could hardly move around in the bathroom. So what is the one thing you should do before you book here? Ask to see the room before...

The room we stayed was comfortably spacious. We had a sound sleep. The breakfast was good. We enjoyed our stay for two...

Clean, new furniture, hair dryer, soap, shampoo is stocked. Internet fished just under the antenna, in the rooms, reception is not caught. The center got 1) walk 40 minutes 2) 8 tram...

Long story short. Went there, slept in a dirty room with dreadful moquette, and a toilet so nasty that I had constipation for a day by the trauma. We believe there were fleas in the beds :-( Use it as last resort...in some case I guess even going under a bridge might be more appealing.

Hotel is situated not in centre, but still you can find plenty of places to eat-drink around, it's in a quiet residential area. Room was not big at all, but who cares where to sleep, right? :) Also if you are collecting small soaps and shampoos, it's not the place to go - they have just big bottles which you...

We stayed two nights. During the first night there was a strange hissing sound coming from outside, we had to close the window. Second night was OK. The breakfast room was VERY cold but our room was well heated. Though it says "free parking" we were told that in the street it was free in the evening and during weekends...

We stayed at the hotel for three days, a bit surprised to find out there was nobody at the reception desk... it seemed disorganized, and we hadn't been warned about it. They only work in the morning, sometimes till 13:00, sometimes till 15:00. They gave us cards to use to be able to go in and out of the hotel,...

Staying in Ottakring

Neighbourhood Profile
Ottakring
The production site of popular Ottakringer beer brews up an exciting mix of working and middle class suburbs, Balkanese immigrant lifestyles, and lush patches of hilly woodland. The recently gentrified area around Yppenplatz and Brunnenmarkt boasts hip cafés and bars next to South East European delicacies at Brunnenmarkt street market. The dynamics of Ottakring become most apparent at its vibrant high street Ottakringer Strasse. At the top end you can feast on wine and local food in Austria’s oldest wine tavern 10er Marie. The wines are from the tavern’s own urban vineyards. Before you head upwards, make sure you pay a visit to the historic courtyards between Lerchenfelder Gürtel and Hippgasse. When locals visit Ottakring’s hilly green outskirts on the weekends they either climb up 31 meters of Jubiläumswarte viewing tower on Gallitzinberg, have a succulent Wiener Schnitzel at Villa Aurora, or reward their hiking exertions around Wilhelminenberg with a drink and a view from Wilhelminenberg Palace (now a hotel and restaurant).
