Great location! Walking distance from the circle old city etc... Clean room. Not much of the service but not less than needed. We came for 3 nights and the price / value was good. Simple breakfast but bearable coffee. Bottom line -- recommended

I hate leaving bad reviews of a hotel with very nice desk personnel, but alas... I stayed here while attending a weeklong conference. Again, the desk personnel was exquisite, the position was very good, the breakfast adequate... but unfortunately the staying was pretty disastrous anyway. First of all, the bathroom had a horrible smell of smoking which simply wouldn't get...

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. Its location, just behind the Museumsquartier and off the Mariahilferstrasse with its many shops, is excellent. It is also very quiet; due to limited traffic on this small side street, noise isn't a problem even in a room facing the street. There are all kinds of public transit nearby: busses, streetcars, U-Bahn....

I'm now in this hotel and it seems acceptable. Furniture is average, so is hall, all in one it's pretty good. Only thing I don't like is bad smell in toilette. Room maids are good and fair. According to it's location, price is very low.

I usually select hotels by their location keeping in mind that it's a pleasure to walk «home» after a concert or an opera without using the U-Bahn or other public transport. This hotel is very close to the centre and it takes at most 15 – 20 minutes to get virtually anywhere on foot without being in a hurry. But...

The Hotel Admiral is located just off the main shopping thoroughfare, close at-hand to the Museums Quartier and the U-Bahn stop there. The U-Bahn stop for Neubau is just a few minutes' walk up the hill (it services different lines). A 20-minute walk to the inner city, the Hofburg, etc.. I didn't find the staff to be either pleasant or...

The: positive fore up: the rooms are clean and reasonably modern as well as spacious, the wifi had excellent strength throughout and worked very well and the hotel is in a great, fairly central location. One can walk to the major inner city sights within ~30 minutes ( St Stephen's, Hofburg, museums, opera etc.) Vienna's shopping mile (Mariahilferstrasse) is also...

Attempted to check in early at the Hotel Admiral for 9/9/12 at about noon-ish. Was rudely advised by curly-haired lady that we could not be checked in until 2pm. I then had to ask if we could store our luggage there and looked at me as if I was asking her for the moon to be served on a silver...

The location is perfect to visit the city. 2 min from underground statio, right in the center of town. Helpful staff, room was clean and ok. Nothing spectacular but ok for budget. The breakfast is good

Unpleasant and condescending staff, unfamiliar with the concepts of good hotel management and customer service. On arrival they claimed to have no record of my reservation, no apology was offered and it fell to me to formulate a solution. The room was adequate however the decor was dated and somewhat ugly, as was the rest of the building. WiFi access...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
