The lady working here was so helpful and cheerful. She made us feel very welcome. Area wasn't the best. But for the price, can't complain. Rooms were clean and everything was in working order. We had a pleasant stay.

Impatient member of staff at check in. Not far from metro which was a bonus. Strange set up with the room key, you have to leave it at reception each time you leave. It's an OK place if you are just looking to get your head down for the night.

Pros: Location in close proximity to metro/train station (Prater) so quite easy to get around in Vienna and to/from airport; Friendly and helpful staff; Clean facilities. Cons: Very small room, Very cold common areas (no heating in the corridors and so on); for some reason when the cleaning lady would clean the room, she'd close the heating and leave the...

I stayed in this hotel for few nights. The only positive thing was staff who was all very helpful and very nice. Reception is open 24h which is a bonus as well. The location is a big issue. I would not recommend it to young females travelling solo and def not to families with children. There is a 'red light'...

The hotel was clean and comfortable enough with a a good location near the train. However, my single room was small, stuffy, dark and in need of some renovation, I am surprised that the majority of the reviews gave it 4 or 5 stars although it is still a good value for the money and the staff was helpful.

Lighting is good, no dark places in the room. There was an elevator which might be good for disabled people. Flat TV in the room and a lot numbers of TV channels. The hot water is really hot. Clean bathroom. Comfortable bed, duvet and pillows. Towels are in new condition. 24 h reception. Room was not soundproof. Corridor also shared...

Affordable, clean hotel with a great location. 20 mins walk to the centre, 5 mins to the train station. Close to some good restaurants and coffee places. The room was tiny with the shower directly in the room, shared toilet. The only time we spent there was for sleeping and it was overall good enough.

Close to the train stations and the centre of Vienna, only a couple of stops on the train. Good value for money. The rooms were nice sized and clean. The bathroom was absolutely lovely! One problem would've been the bed, there was 2 of us and we were only given one pillow and a single duvet to share on the...

Small hotel, helpful young staff at the front desk (except that it was someone different every day - perhaps students?). Some rooms don't have private bathrooms, apparently, but mine had, and it was simple but perfectly fine: spotlessly clean and with a large, nice bath. My only complaint would be the sound insulation: I could hear my Italian-speaking neighbours quite...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Let me introduce you one of the most ancient hotels in Vienna Hotel Odeon located in the very heart of the second district Leopoldau right next to the famous Attraction Park Prater. It's a relatively small boutique Hotel. Every floor of it made in it's own colour from red, yellow to green and blue. Altogether there are 4 floor. We can provide you with single/double, deluxe or three bed rooms. Quite small, but at the same time very cosy rooms won't leave you indifferent. Taking into the consideration the very good location, decent prices, cleanliness and general quality of services - I would definitely recommend this place. ... more   less
