Hotel Karntnerhuf is located near the city center. It is a 15minutes walk away to the city center or one station away by subway. The room is small but clean. The bed is comfy. We enjoyed our stay here.

North of St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna suddenly turns small, winding and medieval, opening up to legendary places such as the Basilisk sculpture at Schönlaterngasse, as well as glamorous baroque façades, courtyards and churches. Take 45 minutes for a casual stroll through Bäckerstrasse, Sonnenfelsgasse, Köllnerhofgasse, Grashofgasse, and Schönlaterngasse. This quarter is packed with stories
and legends that will enrich your Vienna experience.

Echo the previous response. Pfudl is fairly close along witha restaurant/bar immediately next door and many within an easy walk. Schedenplatz a short walk with good ice cream and wurstel stands. Right around the corner and on Rotenturmstrasse there are traditional small restaurants and pizza.
