We booked a stay in this small family hotel for my parents in law who came to visit from Australia. Just before arriving my mother in law lost her mother and they had to reschedule their trip to Europe. So we tried to reschedule our booking with them. We were very disappointed that this wasn't possible. Of course we understand...

We chose this small hotel for its location in the city centre, within walking distance from the main sights and next to the the busy, lively pedestrian Karntnerstrasse that leads to Stephansdom and is full of cafes. It came as a nice surprise that the hotel was located in a historical building (in fact, we've seen some tour guides stopping...

This is a very pretty place in a great position. It's a two minute walk to the opera house so it's great if you're planning an evening there. Major museums, galleries, trams and metro are all an easy walking distance. The rooms are small and the bathrooms tiny. They are a bit tired but very clean. There's no air conditioning, no...

The husband and wife who own this hotel, could not have been nicer, more friendly, or MORE accommodating! Yes, the rooms are small, and the bathrooms smaller, but everything was clean, and seriously, WHO goes to Vienna to hang out in their room? The free included breakfast is sumptuous, to say the very least! Every evening upon our return from...

We were looking for a nice clean 3 star hotel near the metro for a one night stay in Vienna. This was an excellent choice. The rooms are small. The bathrooms were very small. There was 24 hour security at the front desk. They gave good neighborhood recommendations. The hotel is one block off a major shopping street so lots...

A great location close to the Opera and other major attractions in Vienna. Nice clean rooms and very helpful staff. Some street noise for rooms fronting the street, but not bad since it is in the pedestrian area (at the end of street access). They provided earplugs if you need them. Breakfast was good.

We stayed 3 nights in May and were amazed at the location. We arrived by car with no problem getting to the hotel, unloading, and parking in the garage 2 blocks away. The staff was very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was very good as well. Our room was fairly small, especially the bathroom, but the location makes it...

We spent 5 night in May and were very happy. The staff is gracious and accommodating and the outside of the hotel is picturesque. I probably would not stay here in the summer since I am American and AC is god. We threw open the windows and it was fine. Typical small European hotel. It's all about location, location and...

This gem of a hotel is located in an ideal spot for touring Vienna's Old City Centre. Small, quaint hotel with nice staff. Breakfast buffet was included and was very nice. Rooms were clean, bathrooms were modern, rather tight, but manageable. Once again, location was great, easy to walk to sights and train.

This is about as perfect a place as you can find for touring Vienna. Just blocks from the Opera, the Museums, the Hofburg Palace, the Stephensdom area. On a pedestrian street of stores and restaurants. Down the block from the Hotel Sacher. And the price with breakfast is quite reasonable, and it’s one of the few with breakfast included. The...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
