Our stay at Hotel Imperial Vienna was one of the best first-visits to a city I can remember. We had only two nights there and the hotel made sure we had an amazing experience without losing any time. A beautiful upgraded suite was ready and waiting for us at our (early) arrival hour, and Concierge Raphael had taken note of our interests and produced for us two prime seats to that night’s sold-out opera, bravo! Each aspect of the hotel’s service was of the highest standard with an extra level of genuinely warm and friendly and proactive hospitality that one doesn’t always encounter in hotels of the ‘grand’ genre. The Imperial’s location, standard of luxury and opulent historical Viennese atmosphere left a wonderful first impression. Most everything about Vienna exceeded our expectations, but having the Imperial as our home base put the marzipan on our cake.. we can’t wait to return, and know exactly where we’ll stay.…
Without hyperbole, I can stay this is my absolute favorite city hotel in the world. Yes, the world. This was my second time in Vienna and second time staying at the Hotel Vienna, though on this visit we spent four nights at the hotel and truly got to enjoy it in a way our brief, previous visit (during Covid) didn't allow. We stayed in an Elisabeth Suite, which is technically a step below the two-level Maisonette Suite we stayed in our first visit, though we enjoyed it far more. The Elisabeth Suites are near the Royal Suite, on the level atop the marvellous staircase. The rooms have 20-foot ceilings, an absurdly large bathroom with a shower so powerful it can bruise you if you don't temper it, a beautiful sitting area and an impeccable and attentive butler service. It was disappointing that the champagne brunch and Opus restaurant were both closed over the summer, though a lot of attractions in Vienna are. The Cafe Imperial was in fine form (try the Esterhazy Torte – it will change your life). We also took advantage of one of the semi-weekly property tours from the Chief Concierge, which we highly recommend to learn about the history of this magnificent property.…
This is a wow Place .. We Booked in 2019 and the Hotel still Honoured the booking in February 2023. I stayed 1 x extra night and they still honoured the 2019 price, that shows this Hotels Class . Gregory and Miroslav the concierges are exceptional. Its classy and classy with a touch of more class.. The rooms are Modern Regal and roomy, Its an Ideal location within 15-20mins of a nice walk of all the major Location's 5 mins in a Taxi or Tram ride .. We will definitely return
Here's a list of good points: Location Street view Ambiance Lovely big colourful room Great room temps Water pressure and temperature King size bed was really comfy Pillows were great Nice and quiet room Negatives TV was old and didn't work properly. After reporting TV was fixed but still showed only 50 odd standard cable channels. No movies, no netflix login etc. No USB ports for charging devices No plug points near the bed Weird headboard which made sitting up watch broken TV uncomfy Reception/butler rarely available on phone, probably called 20+ times (always engaged) to get answered twice. Toiletries weren't replenished over the weekend. One small bottle of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel between two people? Shower incorrectly positioned which meant you either had to flood the bathroom or shower shaped like Gollum. Room looked a bit bare, I guess the rugs got removed for CoViD and never replaced... Broken blackout (electronic) blinds (though curtains worked well) Entrance to hotel is "broken" so side doors are ridiculous as they involve queuing and a heavy door. Cafe breakfast seemed average when I checked it out.…
this is a beautiful palatial hotel, the staff are really nice, and hotel was spotless clean. the location was really good and within walking distance of the train and all the major tourist attractions, we would highly recommend this hotel.
We decided to visit the Imperial as part of my wife’s 50 h birthday celebration , impeccable best describes our experience. From front of house to restaurant including breakfast and dinner it was faultless . Special mention , the senior concierge gave my son and I a tour of the building and it’s history thank you Manfred . We look forward to our next visit !
The service was wonderful and the suite itself was so luxurious. Quality of bed linen and cushions was fantastic. We also made use of the cafe and room service. Both excellent with very high quality food.
As a “Lifetime Titanium Elite” Marriott Rewards member, and one since the Program’s inception, I can without hesitation say that The Imperial Vienna is the best Marriott property of the perhaps hundreds of which I have been a guest! We recently completed a nine night stay over the Christmas holidays, repeating an extended stay from four years ago. Historic, exquisite property perfectly maintained; the very best location in Vienna. But it is the staff within the property that sets The Imperial apart from others. Every staff member with whom we interfaced, talked to, was served by, helped or assisted was exceptional, no matter their station or position.. To really experience Vienna, this is the place!
What an amazing hotel, rooms are five star! Breakfast was amazing and so personable! Loved the bar where you could have tea or your favourite tipple. Travelling with our 10year old who loved the dog balloon she was given on arrival. Professional service with a personal touch would definitely go back.
I stayed one of the suites, and it was one of the most pleasingly proportioned and decorated rooms I have stayed in in 25 years of travel journalism, starting at The Times - I wrote about it in The Telegraph - and now at Condé Nast Traveller. However, beyond the exquisite aesthetics and the profound and fascinating history - and the truly five star grandeur - it was the staff who made the visit for me. They were definitely the best, and most helpful, while being completely unobtrusive, I have encountered in the industry. Bravo! All stars fully earned, and then some.
