We stayed for 3 nights just before the November 2021 lockdown. The staff could not have been more helpful. We had arrived early in Vienna and, although it was only about 10 am, the receptionist apologised that our room was not yet ready. We went out sightseeing and were soon phoned to tell us that our room was ready. We had a really nice room overlooking the opera. The buffet breakfast was excellent - including Eggs Benedict at the egg station! We had one evening meal in the restaurant - again excellent. The hotel was an obvious choice as we were going to the opera but, regardless, we would definitely stay there again.

We visited Vienna in September and could not have asked for a finer hotel. The service from the moment we walked in the door was welcoming and and extremely helpful answering all our questions. My husband, being as opera fan, was the reason I chose the room over looking the Opera House. The location of Hotel Bristol is excellent and you can walk to most any place you'd want to go. Breakfast was outstanding with just about anything you'd want cooked to order. The servers and staff were exceptional. After spending 4 nights there, we had to move on to our next destination. I had rented a car through the downtown office of Hertz. They delivered the car to the hotel and spent quite a bit of time explaining all its features. While they were doing that, the bellman at the hotel placed waters in the car for us. Everyone seemed to go the "extra mile". My husband had asked for the poster on the wall announcing the opera performance. When we came down in the morning, they had it all ready for him wrapped in a bag. If ever we return to Vienna, this is definitely the hotel for us. Sandy Zeising

There are so many wonderful things to say about this hotel. Location - across the street from the opera house. Worth paying the addition fee for opera views. It was stunning. Short walk to so many wonderful sights, restaurants, shopping. Staff - they could not have been more welcoming, helpful or delightful. The concierges (there were 3 that we worked with) were incredible. Restaurant and bar - from another time. Old-school charm you just don't see anymore. Luxurious and grand and fabulous. Rooms - we opted for a non-renovated room (you can choose renovated or not) with a view of the opera. I am typically a sleek, boutique room kind of person, but I am so glad I went with the unrevonated room. It was like stepping into a time machine of an era gone by with all it's glamour and opulence. It certainly may not be for everyone, but for us it added a whole extra level of beauty to the hotel. You can always opt for one of the newly renovated rooms which look stunning. You just cannot find places like this anymore. I would go back to Vienna just to stay at this hotel again. (Okay, and also Vienna is an amazing city lol)

Sad to see the decline of a once great hotel. Great location. Rooms need lots of updating. Staff is good but not tops. Food in the hotel is good. Breakfast is above average. For the price they need to step up their game. Main bar is a highlight and should be bisitey
