The location is fine. Service was great, everybody being nice and friendly. The room was spacy, but otherwise rather ordinary - much like the bathroom, where the shower did not have any mixer (a bore when the hot water is 60 degrees C). Breakfast was excellent. If we had been charged 80-90€ per night, these conditions would have matched the...

I stayed at the Brillantengrund for five nights while in Vienna to run the marathon and for some business. It's a very unique hotel booked by my business partner, and I have to say I didn't know what to expect based on the reviews. It's in a nice building with an inner courtyard which the rooms are around of. The...

This hotel is decorated in quite a unique way and provides very good facilities. My overall experience was very good. Following are few points on the basis of my experience: 1. Location: Not situated very near to any bus stop or tram stop but all of them are at walkable distance. There are no. of stores and restaurants nearby where...

The room is warm & comfortable, the staffs are very friendly, the breakfast is good. There is a small kitchen in the room, where you can prepare some simple snacks. Walk 20 minutes or take U3, one can get...

Near to shops and night life this family and group friendly hotel was a welcome break from functional hotels in its price range. Interesting decor, great hearty breakfast Buffett which was topped up generously. Good spot!

Simple accommodations in a residential, non-touristy neighborhood. Cute courtyard and reading room, adequate breakfast, helpful staff, reasonable rates, 20 min to city center via subway or tram. There are two reasons I didn't give 5 stars. First, very flimsy and transparent curtains which ensure you wake up at the break of dawn, and second, no bath towels provided, only hand...

My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast property 9/4/13 to 9/6/13. This is a very clean property and the rooms are excellent and very large. Great selection for breakfast. The courtyard is wonderful and there is a bar opened in the evenings for guests to have a drink and unwind. It is located about 15 minutes walk...

We enjoyed our stay there. We felt the breakfast was exceptional- three types of eggs, sausage, bacon, tomatoes, cucumbers, cereal and great bread. Our room was clean and bigger than other European rooms we have stayed in. We arrived by plane, took the CAT to central city, then U3 to Volkstheater and then route 49 to within 2 blocks of hotel. After a couple of...

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
