My wife and I stayed at this bed and breakfast property 9/4/13 to 9/6/13. This is a very clean property and the rooms are excellent and very large. Great selection for breakfast. The courtyard is wonderful and there is a bar opened in the evenings for guests to have a drink and unwind. It is located about 15 minutes walk...

We enjoyed our stay there. We felt the breakfast was exceptional- three types of eggs, sausage, bacon, tomatoes, cucumbers, cereal and great bread. Our room was clean and bigger than other European rooms we have stayed in. We arrived by plane, took the CAT to central city, then U3 to Volkstheater and then route 49 to within 2 blocks of hotel. After a couple of...

Good value to money, location a bit far from center, Very good breakfast, rooms are nice and clean. When we visit the hotel parking was closed for construction and we park about 500 m away paying 12 euros per day

My sister & I just returned from a 2 week stay here. She had been to Vienna 4 years ago and had stayed here as well. Staff was very, very helpful in doing sightseeing trips or just info that maybe only a local would know! Room was very clean and hotel very well kept. Food good not great but, i...

I stayed in this hotel last year in September. I did not like it at all, contrary to what others are saying. Sorry to disagree. I stayed in a single bed room on the upper level. The room had no air conditioning. It was so hot and uncomfortable, I could hardly breathe in there. You can hear others all the...

Location is about a mile from the centre and I was more than happy to walk my way around and absorb the wonderful architecture the city offers. On arrival on Bandgasse the hotel doesn't look like a great choice, but do not be dissuaded on appearance. It is a compact hotel with two rows of rooms that overlook the beautiful...

Very charming hotel pretty close to the city centre. Only a couple of minutes walk to the nearest underground station, and with plenty of little shops and bars nearby. The breakfast was OK, and the staff were helpful and made me feel at home. I would stay here again if I come back to Vienna, which I probably will do!

We walked from Vienna Train Station (Wien Westbahnhof) to Hotel am Brillantengrund, which was just under a mile away. It was not hard to find, and we stayed for two nights. The location is fairly near to the centre of Vienna, although I would advise visitors to embrace the underground system since the main attractions in the city are fairly...

Neighbourhood Profile
Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
