Vienna is one of those magical cities that charm you from the moment you arrive downtown. It is filled with culture - people, architecture, paintings, music, churches, palaces, museums, sidewalk cafes, restaurants in the garden, beautiful parks, super public transportation, great shopping, and is truly an international meca. Of all the 65 countries I have visited, I think Austria is...

I've stayed in this hotel on a city break with my family and partner and I was very pleased with this hotel. Rooms were very cosy and clean and location was brilliant. Special thanks to the staff on the reception and cleaners, because I've left my ipod in the hotel and they were so very kind they sent it to...

Positive: central location, friendly personnel. Negative: They declared as E 120 per night, but they took E160 per night (first E120 at the same moment of reservation per internet and later explicated as "just to prove your card", and other E360 at the moment of chek-in). Old furniture and an archaic TV-set. Continental breakfast.

We loved this place. Clean, friendly, great location. Incredible breakfast. Great value. Needs to become non-smoking, but then so does the whole of Austria.;O) My only complaint is that the bathrooms, although clean and large enough, have no ventilation at all. We'll stay there again next trip.

The establishment is located near a main shopping area and seems like it should be nice. The lobby was small but not terrible. I was in a hurry to attend an event so only paid and dropped off my bags. What a mistake. Upon returning, I noticed that the windows opened up to a rooftop surrounded by the building and...

Despite the comments of previous reviewers, we had no problems with this hotel. The room, though small, was clean and comfortable. There was no noise issue - and we stayed on a Saturday night. Our room did not face the street so the view was ugly drainage pipes etc. but no noise. Staff (at the front desk, breakfast room and...

Hotel Haydn was not as nice as their website touts. I would not recommend this hotel unless you really have to be on the Marianhilfstrasse Street. The street is a shoppers haven but there are also shops in the city center when you're looking around the older part of the city. Problems and highlights: 1. My first hotel room was...

We spent one week at the Haydn Hotel. Our room was very nice (second floor). It looked like it had been refurbished recently. The bathroom was spacious and modern, the room was very clean. We did not have any street noise (our view was the back of the church next door). The breakfast was very good--I liked the rolls. The...

Neubau
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins.
