Great breakfast and great staff in the bar and front desk. Our request for tea/coffee making equipment in the room was filled within 5 minutes. Great location, not in a super touristy area, but still a very short walk to get to all main attractions. Beautiful, stylish classical hotel - staff very helpful.

Overall a good hotel in a location only 10 minutes walk from the Cathederal. 4* in general but a couple of silly things. 1 why make a cover charge for taking diner in the hotel restaurant. it was either 2.5 or 5 euros each - dinner was very good. 2. I asked the desk to make a call for me...

We stayed at this hotel 7 nights, as part of a group. The single rooms are very small; otherwise, the service was superior; the breakfast buffet was outstanding; they even provided me with gluten free bread, upon request. The location was very convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is in an excellent location to visit most of the historic sights in the city. It is about 200 m from the open top bus stop and a leisurely 20 minutes walk from the Opera House. Staff at the hotel were helpful and friendly and are happy to provide any information needed. Although it is claimed to be the...

This hotel is very charming and comfortable with great service. The courtyard provides an excellent space to unwind after a day of seeing the sights of Vienna. The hotel is located a 10 minute walk from the main old city.

Myself and our company are using this hotel for 25 years. It located just few minutes from old center of Wien. Service and personal are always very helpful and food in the restaurant taste always good. Rooms are beautiful in older style and always clean. It is perfect for both pleasure and business.

What a grand hotel to stay in. Ten minutes walk across the River bridge to the main city shopping area. The tourist bus stops 100 yards away. We had a superior room on the 5th floor with a small balcony. The bed was so comfortable and the room itself very modern following a recent refurbishment. Breakfast was unbelievable in a...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
