Nice and comfortable room. To recommend for business travellers! Coffee machine available in the room as well as an ironing set! Breakfast is very well presented with plenty of different type of food. Close to a metro line to reach easily all the touristic places.

This hotel is clean with excellent staff. Great price and good location. Walking distance to Karlsplatz is about 15 min. Ubahn station is a mere 2min and is located at the start of Naschmarkt. Train is super easy in Vienna. Free fresh made cake in the lobby for guests is a very nice touch. Breakfast is good, but I'm not... More

Recently I had the most wonderful experience staying at the Vienna Holiday Inn City hotel. Surely, as expected, I enjoyed the Holiday Inn outstanding service. But also, I had an incident where I had left a large amount of money, in cash in the hotel safe by mistake. After checking out and boarding the plain back to my destination I... More

We were here for 2 nights. It's a very nice property. Rooms a little small but good. Friendly staff and good breakfast. All in all a very good property for the price and everything that you expect from Holiday Inn chain of hotels.

For a hotel in medium price group this was perfect. Very nice staff, excellent breakfast, good location. Would chose this hotel again if I return. The room was quiet, but as it was November I could no use the nice garden

Very nice place compared to most of the European Holiday Inns, spacious room, well kept common areas and a beautiful small garden. Staff is polite, everything is done with a genuine smile. Breakfast was standard but fresh and enough choices. Surely will return when in Vienna again.

We stayed 4 nights for vacation. The first room we had for 3 nights was on the 1st floor and though we were "upgraded" to a larger room thanks to my partner's IHG Platinum status, the room's views were a bit lacking. The room was technically facing the courtyard section of the hotel, but being on the first floor the... More

Stayed 2 nights for business. My room was on the 7th floor which was a bit of a trek up in the small lift - especially when there was a queue of people waiting for it. Once I got to my room though I found it absolutely spotless-the bathroom particularly. Everything you need is there along with helpful check in... More

A solid five star performance. Location is not the nearest to the city center but still close enough to the U4 subway station. The hotel is well kept. Good sleep quality. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. These guys know what they are doing. They are established hoteliers. I must commend the management for putting together a well trained team of individuals... More

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
