Firstly it has to been stated that the hotel is not prepared for tourists with their own cars. There is no place to leave you car and the parking regulations in Vienna are very restricted so it is better to leave the car on some park&ride stop and then use public transport. We have paid 2 euros more per night...

Stayed for 2 nights as part of Groupon deal. Not located in a very salubrious area with heavy traffic for 20 of 24 hours so be prepared for Hum of traffic. Room was large and clean. Service was very casual and not great. Very average breakfast in miserable surroundings. Travel to central Vienna is fairly easy if you familiarise yourself...

It's an old , fading , uncomfortable hotel. Contrasting totally with Vienna's grandeur and magic. Perhaps it made us understand we didn't belong to that grandeur. Ha ha . The room was big but lacking taste. Breakfast wasn't at all marvelous in a rather small place. The best thing was the excellent disposition of maids there. Wouldn't go back even...

Plus: We have booked a month in advanced, so 100 € for two nights was a good value for such price. Room was quite big and silent even we had windows towards main street. Good tram conection to city center (cca 12 min), free of charge parking ca 10 minutes walk. Minus: poor wi-fi internet and disgusting coffee for breakfast...

Clean and tidy room. Generaly speaking, the hotel is ok, but it needs a renovation especialy coridors and the elevator was not good. There were several times it was either blocked or it did not work properly. There is no free breakfast. Although it is far from the central area, it is only few steps from the railway station and...

First of all, the breakfast was great. It had lots of different food, coffee and juices. The best thing in the hotel. The staff was nice, especially the blonde receptionist. The room was huge. We had a suit under the roof. It was a bit cold during the night so that is a minus. This hotel needs a renovation even...

I stayed with my wife on this hotel on our first trip to Vienna. The beds are ok, the breakfasts was very good and the internet worked well. However, the rooms needs painting and some refurbishment, even considering this is a cheap hotel.

It is a nice standart hotel to sleep in. Though it is quite far from the city center. The nearest underground station is in 20 minutes walk. Rooms are clean but i had a broken sink and a tap. Strange but there is only a table lamp to give lighting.

We booked a double-bed room with breakfast. Everything went fast, we prebooked our room online. The staff was very nice and efficient. The room was beautiful, clean and the breakfast was perfect as well. Highly recommended! I loved it! :-)

Staying in Margareten

Neighbourhood Profile
This former working class district blends hip eateries and avant-garde cinema with a time travel into 1950s Vienna. Feel the district’s pulse at Margaretenhof and Schlossquadrat. 19th-century Margaretenhof is a local icon, yet has very non-Viennese architecture with its brick structure and cast-iron verandas. The nearby urban Renaissance castle of Schlossquadrat houses several restaurants. In the summer you can sit in its romantic shady courtyard over Schnitzel and Kracherl (traditional fizzy syrup). Siebenbrunnenplatz and its surrounding shops and grocery stores have remained virtually unchanged in the past 60 years: taking a walk there is like stepping into a 1950s film set. Speaking of movies, head to avant-garde cinema Filmcasino in the evening. It often stages foreign language cult films.
