Nice staff at check in and efficient. Spacious room and clean. The only downside is no tea and coffee making facilities and iron in the room. There is lift in the building which is a plus. Across the road is transportation hub, cafe and convenience store.

Bad organisation and the room service wasn’t efficient enough. The food given at breakfast and dinner wasn’t enough for all the people, even though they knew how many people were there. Unknown people from the hotel entered in two rooms while the people in those rooms were there, scaring us and making us feel unsafe.

I did not expect too much from 3star hotel, but this one was a real surprise. Location is very good if you want to avoid prices and the rush of the downtown. The tram station is just a few minutes far and in less than 20 minutes you are in the very hart of Vienna. Also, the walk to the downtown is an option if you like. Staff is frendly and helpful, answered all questions with a smile. Maybe the best surprise was a very good food selection for breakfast. Nice restaurant and friendly waiters are additional benefit. Again, this is a 3star hotell an I did not expect so good service for morning meal,. Only minus, and I relly think "only", is the wifi strenght in the upper floors. Please fix this and you will be 4star for me. Of course I will come again...

Since the hotel is next to the railway station and the main road, it is extremely noisy, and extremely hot and when you open the window for ventilation, you cannot sleep from the noise and dust. Even with the windows closed, the building is constantly vibrating alarmingly due to the trains and vehicles passing at full speed every minute. The biggest problem is that there is no staff at the reception after 22:00 in the evening, they leave a phone that you can call if there is a problem between 22:00 at night and 07:00 in the morning, one of the lines does not work and they never answer the other. When you arrive on the first day, if your flight is delayed or if you are coming on a night flight, you will stay at the door, or let's say your key does not work, you can stay on the street when you arrive late. Because of this situation, you often have to rush back to the hotel. Since the hotel reception is usually empty, either they generally sit in the room inside or at the back, it cannot be seen if someone else enters or leaves the hotel. All this creates a serious security problem. The hotel's air conditioners are closed, and there is a fan that is not even branded and never cools, although the rooms are large, it was incredibly hot in September. There is a metro construction right in front of the hotel, there may be work even at 03:00 at night and the objects in the room vibrate as if there is an earthquake. Water is not sold in the hotel and there is no market nearby. I cannot say that the breakfast is sufficient.

What can we say about the ALLEGRO hotel except that it does not evoke any kind of joy! A three-star hotel not worthy of the visitors who pass through it: as such, the communication and reception services must be redesigned immediately! If the kitchen staff are pleasant and make your stay enjoyable, the person in charge of reception has the right to smile! If you have other choices than this hotel, choose another establishment within a minute! The bedding of my relatives was ultimately akin to metal bars holding up a worn out mattress. It doesn't deserve those stars!

Staying in Vienna on a school trip, I was very disappointed with my experience at your hotel. Yet signed 3 stars, the staff was unpleasant as possible and totally incompetent to meet our expectations. We had to pay a deposit of €1700 in cash, not announced at the start, which the students were obliged to participate on pain of not being fed and being kicked out of the hotel. Which is morally unacceptable. As for the rooms for 4 people, they offer a sofa and a camp bed. Cleanliness was clearly not up to par. For the restaurant service, the staff is surprisingly pleasant unlike the reception service. The food served was worthy of a highway air fast food. If you are hesitant to book this hotel, AVOID.

Just arrived they tell us that we did not have half board! Error them and we have to agree to dine sooner or later. Even breakfast always takes turns. Noisy room, with parts destroyed. Dinner almost totally inedible. Very cold reception area and cold dinner area. A nightmare hotel! Really painful!

Their policy clearly state they only need your card details to guarantee the booking, and the card will not be charged prior to the stay. The full amount was taken from our card before we had arrived. This is quite a serious breach of their terms and conditions. We abided by the written request on our bathroom wall asking that guests hang towels up instead of leaving them on floor to be replaced. Housekeeping took every single towel and replaced them with absolutely nothing at all. We were literally left with no towels for our stay, and provided with a small hand towel when we eventually found someone at reception. Housekeeping flung open our room door without any knock beforehand (I was standing next to the door having just exited the shower) and walked in, which was a disrespectful gross invasion of privacy, despite having a no housekeeping needed sign on the handle. The bathroom and the room itself was very dirty. The pillows were a ball of mangled mess (see photo). There is a huge gap between the two single beds pushed together to look like a double. The hotel is surrounded by a very loud construction site, which is not mentioned anywhere beforehand.

We agreed at the reception to go by their own taxi to the airport at 4:30 in the morning for the price of 30€ ( "special price for the hotel " as they said) 2 different receptionists confirmed that the cost was 30 €. When we finally arrived at the airport our taxi driver announced that he wants 43€ (it's his standard tariff as he told us) And when I asked him to call the hotel he just showed a message on his phone with the time 4:30 and price 43€!!

A budget hotel without basic amenities such as fridge at the room, telephone. pretty clean room The breakfast was ok and costs 9€ per person. Great location near Matzleinsdorfer train station. the receptionist at check-out (22/01/2020) was rude and although we had agreed the night before for late check-out free of charge asked us for 20 € and asked if we had this on paper and at the end with a lot rudeness told us that we were free to leave

Response from HotelAllegroVienna, Manager at Hotel Allegro
Responded 29 Jan 2020
Dear guest, many thanks for taking the time in writing to us. We apologize for what has happened at check out. This is not how we treat our guest and we clearly didn't get this right. We have briefed our staff that a late check out fee is applicable when checking out after noon, however, this does not excuse the behaviour. Again, we are sorry what has happened.
