I went for this hotel due to the fact that it was in a good location, and let me first say that it is. It is right next to the underground station and within walking distance to most of the popular attractions. This made it great, if like us, where in Vienna as a stop over for the day as...

This hotel, located on the edge of the Vienna's 1st district, deserves at most three stars. The room I stayed in during a hot April 2007 was cramped, and the so-called air-conditioning was simply a fan so noisy that I had to turn it off at night. Even when on, the cooling effect was nil. The so-called bathroom was a...

Unfortunately, we were not overly impressed with the Hotel Regina. It is in a great location, right next to the beautiful Votive Church and within short walking distance to the Town hall, Berg Theater, and Parliament. We walked everywhere in Vienna, but the trams also seemed like an excellent option. However, the hotel itself leaves much to be desired. From...

I stayed two nights at the Hotel Regina, booked through hotelscentral.com. I was truly surprised to find a nice hotel in a decent location in Vienna and pay a reasonable rate (I don't think I am allowed to post the rate here). The hotel is right next to the Votice Church and is a 3-minute walk from the Schottentor U-bahn...

We visited Vienna for four days last November, it was the 3rd stop of a 4 city European tour. The Hotel Regina is on the north end of downtown (city centre) Vienna. It's a five minute walk from the start of the real shopping district, and maybe 10 minutes total walking to reach the heart of the downtown area. The...

We stayed there for 4 nights including New Years Eve 2006, and with the (gala?)dinner of 31 December mandatorily included in the room rate arrangement for that day. The rooms: very small; seemingly previously large rooms that were halved, using some wooden panels to split them in two rooms we assume. The telephone conversations in the adjacent room could be...

We were disappointed with the Regina. It's definitely not a "4 star" by international standards. The location is great, for sure. It's an imposing and elegant looking building, but that impression fades after you enter. The rooms are VERY dated and shabby. It appears to have been built as a hotel/apt. building with shared bathrooms down the hall, as our...

We thought the hotel was OK. The staff was very freindly and pleasant, and the room was clean. The hotel definitely has a charm to it, but clealry those that are used to staying at modern hotels may not be used to this type of hotel (complaints about narrow hallways, creaky floors, etc.) The room decor was nice, but I...

Excellent location, within walking distance of the Hofburg and St. Stephens. Metro and the ring are only a block away, and the hotel easy to find next to the Votivekirche. Outstanding breakfast buffet served in their bright restaurant. The room is small, but who wants to spend time in their room anyway? It did have two ensuite bathrooms, so that...

My husband and I spent 4 nights in Vienna this past September. We chose hotel Regina after reading some of the reviews found on the old mighty world wide web, knowing a little bit about the creaking in the floor, the hundred year old building, well maintained as it appeared from others' description. We got there in the afternoon and...
