Just returned from a great 5 night stay in Vienna, stayed at the Hotel Capricorno after reading a number of reviews. We were not disappointed in any way. We had a superior double room with balcony, the room was very well appointed with all amenities you would expect in a good hotel. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean and well...

My son and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Capricorno. The location is outstanding and the staff was very helpful. The breakfast was good and the cake served every afternoon was a nice welcome back after long days of sightseeing. I am giving it a 4 rather than a 5 simply because we thought other hotels on our journey were...

A very good choice when visiting Vienna City and surroundings. We had three nice days and were very satisfied with breakfast and service. The location was perfect for us as we could take walks to find the museums and buildings we intended to visit. We will certainly be back.

This hotel was everything we could have hoped for, clean, very well located, and with very friendly and helpful staff, both at the reception and in the breakfast room. We appreciated the in-room safe and other amenities, and the room and bathroom were a good size by European standards. If we were to return to Vienna we would definitely want...

My wife and I stayed here in late July/Early August and loved it. -The staff was very friendly, whether it was the front desk, the breakfast staff or housekeeping. Everyone had a smile and a "hello." -Very clean and comfortable (we'd had issues with poor air conditioning in some places we stayed in Bratislava and Budapest, but the room stayed...

We stayed here for 4 nights and it was great. The location is ideal, there's a metro literally five seconds from the hotel and the main square is only a 5 minute walk. Our room was lovely, clean and spacious. The hotel itself is great and staff were friendly and helpful. The only one criticism would be the breakfast menu....

This hotel is very well situated near underground lines (Schwedenplatz metro station is literally just outside 1min walk) and also around a 5-10 min walk into the town centre and St Stephens Cathedral. There are lots of nice restaurants nearby and would highly recommend EF16 winebar restaurant which is around a 3 min walk from hotel for fine dining. Lovely...

Would highly recommend this hotel....all of the staff were helpful and friendly. ...was traveling solo...single room was well laid out and not cramped although it would have been too small for 2 people... Hotel was in a good location with train stop virtually in front of the hotel. Would stay there again

The Capricorno is located on Schweden Platz just a few metres from the Danube in the inner city centre of Vienna. Schweden Platz will not win prizes for beauty but it is a very good location from which to explore the centre of Vienna and it is also very well connected to the public transport system. This is a clean little hotel, close to all transport links and the main hub. Metro station is only 2 minutes walk away and plenty of food options nearby. We loved staying in there as the staff is very friendly and helpful. Free afternoon tea and the cake is an 'icing on the cake'!

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.

As cheerful and colorful as life itself, the Hotel Capricorno appeals to everyone who wishes to experience vibrant Vienna in the heart of the city. In the form of selected motives on wallpaper, Vienna's landmarks accompany guests all the way to their hotel room, so guests have the feeling of being in the middle of Vienna even when they are in the hotel. Its central location directly at Schwedenplatz makes it possible to reach everything quickly. You can walk to St. Stephan's Cathedral in just five minutes. The underground and trams, as well as the landing stage of the Twin City Liner are right outside the door. Cars can be parked securely in the garage.
