The rooms at this hotel are luxurious and extremely comfortable. The breakfast is outstanding as is the service. The helpful front desk staff are very well connected and will ease your stay and help get tickets to performances that are not easily available if you try by yourself or through other agencies. And I haven't as yet mentioned location! This...

It was my fifth stay at this hotel wich is situated in the center of Vienna about 50 meters from Stephansplatz. It has beutiful , spatious rooms with air condition, beautiful bathrooms and gorgeous breakfast every morning. The most friendly staff (almost like family). Needless to say that just about every attraction (and there are plenty) in Vienna is either...

I arrived @ 3pm & greeted with an angy face & 'you're late!'. Bizarre given that check-in was after 1pm.... It got worse! I was then offered a non-smoking room that smelt of smoke. Then i was offered a single room in place of my deluxe double. Then i was berated for hsving booded at such a low rate! Every...

You would be hard pressed to find a better location. The Kaiserin is smack dab in the city center, right in the middle of the pedestrian strip, that is at your front door. Hotel is surrounded by restaurants, patios, and bars. There is a subway station about 20 feet from the hotel (Stephans Platz station). There is a grocery store...

There’s no need to look for something more central than this – a few paces off Karntnerstrasse and the Stephansplatz metro stop, you’re right in the heart of Vienna and still can get a very quiet room if you ask for one facing the courtyard off the street. There’s an oddness to this place that’s hard to articulate with its...

We just returned from an Austria trip where we stayed three seperate times at the Elisabeth. The weather was extremely warm and humid and I cannot describe how wonderful it was to come back to our clean, large, air conditioned room. The bathrooms were excellent in size and features. The front desk staff seemed to know us everytime we came...

As for this hotel my first impression was that it was in a great location, all the major sites that should be visited are very close. the hotel is 20m away from the busiest pedestrian streets. The service was excellent, clean rooms, air-conditioned. It seems as if the building was previously used for something else and after that it was...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
