The hotel is clean, with a unique old styled character. Some may find it old fashioned but I found it a great change to most modern non-descript sterile hotels that seem to be popping up nowadays. The location is great, situated across from the Hauptbahnhof station that services Underground, trams, trains & buses. Also it's just a 15 min leisurely...

The hotel is comfortable and clean, with pleasant rooms and public areas. It is situated opposite the new East West station, which when finally finished, is where the airport train will stop. It is about 200 metres from the nearest tube stop, which is only 4 stops from the city centre. It is close to the Belvedere gardens and palace....

Hotel is bang opposite the new HBF railway station. Still under construction but never experienced any associated noise despite overlooking the main road. Hotel is about a 20 minute walf from the centre, or a few stops on the S Bahn for the less energetic. Room was on the small side but very clean, particularly the en-suite which was immaculately...

I travel to Vienna from another city in Austria quite regularly and have tried a number of moderately priced hotels, many of which I have reviewed here. They were all OK but last time I stayed at this hotel and feel I may have hit the jackpot. I made a reservation well in advance and got a very reasonable price....

I walked in after a long flight and requested help with luggage and lady on the reception pointed at the trolly and said take it. I asked if there was anyone to help.Eventually a porter helped with our luggage.First impression was not very good. We were given a back facinh room on the fourth floor despite requesting higher floor room...

This was my first stay in this hotel and I would highly recommend it. We stayed in Vienna for five days and enjoyed every one. The staff were great on reception, nothing was too much trouble. The staff in the dining room were kept very busy but were always polite and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and well kept...

Directly across from the Hauptbanhof Vienna, this hotel seems to be a popular go-to hotel for a broad spectrum of tourists. I booked online. It was $90 CAD. Very reasonable for its function. I arrived at 11pm to find this hotel as quiet as a graveyard. It was a 40 euro drive from the airport which was a drag. An...

Stayed here in July 2014 for 11 nights (a business trip). First the plus sides: - The room was generally ok and clean. The furniture and some of the bathroom equipments seemed to be a little worn-out, but nothing terrible, really. I got the feeling that the value was ok for the price. It also had an air-con, which is...

We spent 3 nights at the Prinz Eugen hotel. An older but renovated hotel. Room was very clean and enough for 3 people, as we shared it with our son. An extra bed was put in as requested with no extra cost. Hotel is located quite close to the city tour bus stop and a couple of blocks away from...

Staying in Wieden

Neighbourhood Profile
Wieden
The fourth district combines elegant tradition with contemporary style and relaxed living. More than a dozen town palaces and churches such as St. Charles Borromeo have added glamour to a neighbourhood known for its traditional retail and crafts shops, taverns, cafés. Wieden is also home to Naschmarkt, Vienna’s largest street market. Many bohemian types have found their way to Wieden: meet them in trendy cafés and bars, shop alongside them for vintage items, enjoy Wien Museum’s and Kunsthalle’s modern temporary exhibitions, and hang out with the bees at Vienna’s most beautiful urban garden, Karlsgarten.
