Efficient and smiling staff and, clean if small room went well with the stylish decor the Hotel has... if past its best in places, the old photos and memorabilia on the main stairs was a nice touch. The food in the restaurant was particularly well presented and tasteful and the service was prompt and welcoming. I was the on business...

Friendly staff. Good services. Decoration simple but stylish. There is a good restaurant in the premises, quite convenient to avoid freezing during winter nights. Breakfast pretty good with a large selection of food, mostly German. Room and bathroom quite small. Shower slippery and without safety handle. No shower cap. Quiet despite being centrally located. Location could not be better for...

Help desk was very friendly to help us. Had problems (not their fault) and they helped swiftly. Room was exactly like photo. Took cheapest option. (radio, aircon, TV, bathroom with toilet and shower, cupboard, safe box, mini bar and panel heating) the location is in the heart of Vienna. Near subway train station. Best value for money. Rooms is not...

This small hotel is a real find. It's in a terrific location, perfectly located near St. Stephen's Cathedral, shopping, and the underground. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the adjoining Italian restaurant was delicious, with a great selection. Although the rooms are small, I was by myself on business and it had everything I needed:...

We decided to book a room in Graben Hotel due to its location. When we first entry the hotel room we were a little bit disappointed regards the size of the room and the leak on the bathtub faucet. We went browsing the town and when we came back the faucet was changed. The location is really the best (50...

The Grand Hotel is centrally located, clean and wheelchair accessible. Rooms were spacious and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel so can not comment there is no bar but drinks are available in the lounge til 9pm.

Hotel Graben is right in the centre of old Vienna. All the sights and pedestrian shopping areas are within short walking distance. Room was always clean and the chocolates left on our pillows each day added a nice touch. Reception staff always very cheerful and helpful. A lovely sidestreet hotel in the heart of ‘old town’ Vienna. Clean. Nice people. Great service. And a generous breakfast choice of meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurts, breads, preserves and, for those who prefer something hot, bacon/sausage and eggs. The Graben is literally minutes away (almost seconds) from Stefansplatz - and you don’t get more central than that!. Round the corner...

Staying in Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
