Could not ask for any more from this hotel. It is in a great location, only one tram stop from the main train station. The room was very comfortable, and the bathroom superb. The staff are helpful. One of the best hotels we stayed in as we travelled through Europe.

This hotel is a short walk from the west train station and close to many transport links, including the airport bus shuttle. I really liked the rooms, the sauna and the jacuzzi. Having to get a new wi-fi password every day was a bit annoying, but the connection was pretty good from our room. The art along the corridors was... More

I was looking forward to staying at the Arcotel Wimberger because I had a great experience at the Arcotel in Zagreb. Alas, it was not as good. The location is excellent if you need to take a train from the Westbanhoff, as I did. It's just a few minute's walk and the hotel generally has nice atmosphere. However, I had... More

I had read mixed reviews about this hotel and staff when I researched it. I was happy to learn when I arrived that the hotel was clean, comfortable, very helpful staff and in a great location. It is very close to easy to use public transportation and for walkers{which I am} easy and safe to get around.

We arrived to Vienna by train. Despite website information the hotel is far away from the train station. Check-in procedure was TOO PROLONGED. The reception staff was not friendly at all and was not efficient. Gloomy, bored faces. They were looking into their computers for ages prior to check-in. Guys!..... it’s a 4-star hotel, but it hardly can be ranked... More

The hotel is near to the main shopping area, MARIA HILFER STRASSE and also not too far from the main museums, winter palace, the opera, etc. In case you do not want to walk, there is a tram station across the hotel. As for the hotel itself: renovated, clean but a bit dull..Certainly not modern. I think they should change... More

This low brow, out of the way, filled to capacity, and on a very busy street hotel is used by Grand Circle Travel on Eastern Europe tours. Even the internet has to be renewed EVERY day. Everything from room temperature to the lack of a simple ice bucket make this a substandard hotel. Choose a different tour company and definitely... More

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
