This was what I would call a proper value for money. Though a bit outside of the city centre, the modern building and best facilities made the holiday one of the best, and I really enjoyed the breakfasts!

For me it was a fantastic stay in Vienna. I have spent two nights in the Arcotel Wimberger. It was a very nice stay. The employees are friendly, the rooms are distinguished cleanly and the breakfast delicous. The staff at reception desk was very friendly, competent and obliging. They were very professional. I come back anyway.

This was about the 6 choice on a list provided - I know why now, as it was a holiday weekend in Vienna our choice was very limited. The female who checked us in was rude, surly and should be sacked immediately in my opinion, never to be employed in the customer service industry again. We arrived very early morning...

My wife and I arrived at the hotel at 7:00am to be met with quite possibly the rudest check in person I have ever met and that includes hotels in Algeria and Mumbai. After arranging a car to collect us from the airport we were then told quite rudely that check in was at 2:00pm a whole 7 hours later...

We went here on out honeymoon, we were on a bit of a budget but this hotel proved to be perfect. The room was a good size and extremely comfortable and warm, with a lovely bathroom. The housekeeping was very good with the bed made everyday and towels washed. The carpet in the bedroom had a bit of a dodgy...

My family and I sayed at the Arcotel Wimberger as part of a two city package to Vienna and Budapest. The Hotel rooms are nice, they are of a good size for a European hotel. Our first room had two levels, a lower area where our son slept and an upper loft for my wife and I, an unexpected amenity....

This is my second Austrian review this year where I can't tell if it's "worth the money" since I got a free one night stay, courtesy of Austrian Airlines, after being bumped off a flight to Eastern Europe due to overbooking (the return overnight stay at Fischamend was part of the plan). It's been an accidental stay, with quite some...

My wife and I stayed at the Wimberger October 4-7, 2007, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. It is most convenient to the West Bahnhof, about a 5 minute walk. The hotel staff spoke excellent English, and the made every attempt to accommodate all of our wishes and needs, including booking a city tour and checking out the night before...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
