This location is a golden opportunity for travelers to be right on the Metro in seconds - just outside the door. The rooms are spacious and quiet with mini kitchens. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful with directions, best spots to dine in the area as well as must see spots in the city.

Whilst the location of the NH Wien is very good with the metro close by and the Naschmarkt in walking distance, it has the charme of an average youth hostel. Very unusally, the staff are not as friendly and helpful as expected. Do not have a special request because it will not be attended to. Breakfast is substandard for Viennese...

Contrary to the hotel description, this hotel doesnt offer AC! It was hot and humid in the room. Even a room change didnt help! Avoid this hotel during hot days. Elevator in the subsidiary building, where our room was didnt work a couple of times and people got stuck in there. Staff wasnt really friendly and did not even say...

Situated just off Mariahilferstr [a main shopping street] far enough to permit a quiet stay, this hotel offers a very good value in terms of central location and room quality/size. Our room was spacious with a king size bed, hide-a-bed sofa, and a work desk. The hotel occupies a couple of buildings, so access to our room was through a...

Staff is formally gentle, but reception is indifferent if you already paid all the services, but still living in the hotel. Worst and expensive wifi ever. 9,99 euro per 24 hours. Horrible speed. To use free wifi is not possible. Previous century. Conditioners are not usefull. Even on maximum speed.

I'll try to keep this review very simple and break it down by major consideration factors: 1. The Location. Great. Located right on the major shopping street Mariahilfer Strasse. The hotel, while on this busy street, was set back a little, and not noisy at all. It was also practically on top of the metro, for a short trip to...

At the NH you get what you expect: a very modern, very clean room with nice bathroom. Its central location (right on Vienna's main shopping street, close to museums and next to a metro station) is great, yet I would only go back when not travelling by car (finding the parking in the one-way street system is a challenge!) What...

Stayed here as a last minute decision. If coming by car enter via the back street not Mariahilfe strasse you can then park you car under the portico unload your bags and then use the under ground car park for $19 euro per night. The rooms are quite large with a small kitchenette and then a separate bedroom and a...

Booked 4 nights in this hotel for a long weekend in Vienna. Upon arrival 30min before the 2pm check in time my room was not ready. I had to wait a further 90min to gain access. Hotel staff were very cold and unaccomodative. The "gym" is actually a 2 x 2 m small room with a broken bicycle & stairmaster....

So I needed a hotel for my last night in Vienna. I needed a good hotel because I had just come out from the hospital after an emergency surgery. I made my reservation online and expressly stated my condition, and upon my arrival I found out they gave me a room in a bulding separate from the reception, and on...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
