My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in November. + staff are very friendly and accommodating + breakfast is plentiful + location is excellent, especially for the Rathaus Christmas market! + clean - We booked a deluxe art nouveau room through secret escapes and sadly it was anything but. We requested a bath but this was not available, not the end of the world by any stretch. However, the room itself did not reflect any of the photos of beds with big golden headboards and flooded in light. Sadly the room was dated and rather dark. However, bathroom had clearly been re-done and we found no faults with that. We checked with reception shortly after we had checked in that we were in fact in a deluxe room (number 406) as there was no coffee machine, Robes or slippers which were marked as included on the website. The staff were brilliant and quickly rectified this, but the fact that these staples were not included originally made me think we were in a standard room. Although, I was not one to question this, as I had only seen photos of other rooms. The day we checked out I saw the inside of other rooms (that the maids were cleaning) and these were much nicer and resembled the photos shown on their website. We double checked again on check whether we were given a deluxe room and this was confirmed. I think we were just unlucky with the room we had, but it seems a shame when we paid more for a deluxe room and then the room did not resemble this standard. If you want a hotel that is great for location and Christmas markets then I would 100% recommend. However, the rooms are not a 4 star standard and are just a little dated.…
Ever since our first stay in this hotel a couple of years ago, we always come back to it whenever we are in Vienna. The rooms are very nice, well-equipped and a good size, with the most comfortable bed and bedding I have ever experienced in hotels. A good night’s sleep is definitely guaranteed! The hotel staff is extremely helpful and attentive, they create a great atmosphere and make sure you have everything you need, and more. They welcome us back every year and make us feel special. The location is also perfect, especially if you are there during the Christmas season as the main Christmas market is only a few minute walk away, but it is within walking distance from most sightseeing places. The area also has some great restaurants and shops, and is safe and quiet. We will definitely continue our stays in this hotel and would recommend it to everyone visiting Vienna and wishing to have a pleasant experience!…
. Alles gut! We stayed there last month and we had a great time there. Nice clean bedroom, comfortable bed, quiet, The room had every nessecity. Breakfast was delicious , great selection, and service was wonderful! The receptionists were very nice and very helpful.
I stayed in Hotel Josefshof for five nights in September, 2021. The hotel has class. It's perfectly lovely in a charming, quiet neighborhood away from the tourist crowds but close to the center. The receptionists are kind and helpful and the room was quiet and comfortable. I especially loved the lobby area, which includes several lovely sitting areas and a beautiful outdoor courtyard. A perfect stay.
I won't comment on the hotel itself as it's been covered before, just wanted to mention the reception staff who was helpful above and beyond, and made it possible to pay a surprise visit to one of our friends who was already staying there.
