Stayed here for 1 night. The hotel room was clean. But we didn't have a toilet in our room. Not a massive issue, just a bit surprised. The breakfast is quite good, staff don't seem to be very happy and engaging. But ok for a 1 night stay

Earlier this year I booked a room at this pension through booking, com. As a special request I had asked for my room not to be higher than 2nd floor and if possible with a view. The reason behing my request was that as I was travelling with my 77 year old mother, who is not very fond of heights and...

This hotel is located close to the historic center of Vienna.. you can go there on foot.. it also very close to metro, tram and bus station.. close to it also there is a station of the bus of the airport.. The reception is at the 8th floor, because it is part of a building and it doesn't occupy the...

If you are looking for an incredibly well-located place to stay in Vienna, that won't cost you a fortune, then definitely give Pension Geissler a look. On the other hand, if you need a typical hotel experience, then this may not be the place for you. First, the location: a two-minute walk from the Schwedenplatz U-bahn (Metro) stop, and an...

This is a wonderful little pension in a great location very close to the center of Vienna. It's probably a 10 minute walk to the cathedral and less than 5 minutes to the U-Bahn or tram. Our family room was big, clean, and nicely decorated. The toilet was a little weird and the elevator was tiny, but those were the...

What an absolute find. This place was the best budget hotel I've stayed in. A little challenging to find but totally worth it. We had a room with en suite bathroom and it even had a balcony. Place was spotless. Agree with other travellers that the towels were tired and had certainly seen better days, but we were only there...

A uniquely set out hotel. Its reception and dining area is on the 8th floor with the rooms on the floors below it. Access is up a flight of steps to the lift. The lift states it’s a 3 person capacity. This would be a snug arrangement, two is better. You can have to wait a while for an empty...

Our room was clean and comfortable with sufficient room not to feel cramped when we came back for an hour during the day. Good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. All the sights in the historic centre are easily reached on foot and there is an underground station about 250m away should you want to leave the centre to visit Schloss...

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
