We have just returned from staying for six nights in Goedel so that is what I am reviewing. This has a bedroom, a bathroom and a small kitchenette and is accessed through a separate door to the other rooms. There is plenty of space and it was useful having a kettle and toaster (amongst other kitchen things) to enable us...

I stayed in room Gödel which has its own entrance, a door just beside the entrance to Rosa Linde. It is a beautiful and spotlessly clean self contained apartment. It has very high ceilings and all the rooms are generous, giving a very airy feel. It does not overlook the street and is therefore absolutely silent, great for a good...

Stayed in the Freud room for 3 nights. Location is near to the metro. Street becomes quiet at night. There is lift up to the apartment. Room and toilet is very spacious, the biggest we had in our entire Europe trip. It is bigger than standard hotel rooms. Bed is okay. Kettle, hair-dryer & towels are provided. However, the air-conditioning...

We stayed in the Freud room for 3 nights. Lovely large room in renovated building with what appeared to be the original woodwork and oak parquet floors. Bathroom was large and very modern. Tap water was delicious! Both Eric and Franz were very helpful before and during our stay. The area appears to be home to many young professionals and...

The apartment Godel is large and comfortable, with all amenities and a balcony. Quiet neighborhood, 10 min walk to the Museum Quarter. The only problem is that is that air conditioning turns off from 11 pm to 9 am due to noise regulations. However not all neighbors (or garbage collectors) respect these regulations, which can be a problem if you...

We stayed in the "Freud" apartment for 3 nights. It had the biggest and best bathroom in Europe i think, no exaggeration. The apartment was just fantastic. Excellent location and our host Franz was very helpful.

Stayed in the Freud suite in this charming and quiet building. Beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. Not much interaction with the hosts but that was fine with us. We opted not to have breakfast as there are loads of options in the neighbourhood. Very convenient to the metro although easy walking to most sights. Would stay again.

We stayed in the Freud Apartment for four nights and we found it to be perfect for our holiday in Vienna. The location is great - close to shops, public transport and many restaurants. We were able to easily walk to the Museum district, Belvedere, the Leopold Museum and many other attractions. The apartment was spacious, spotless and had plenty...

We stayed in the "Godel" apartment for two nights in the middle of our 2 1/2 week trip. Perfect timing to catch up on our laundry with the great little washing machine, but also to be able to make a dinner in the nicely equipped kitchen - we get tired of eating out every night on vacation! We did not...

The Godel is an amazingly spacious and immaculate apartment in a great location close to shops, bars and restaurants. There are trams nearby and the U3 metro is round the corner. It is perfect for visiting all over Vienna but it is only a lovely short walk to the museum district then on through to the city centre. The room...

Staying in Neubau

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s art district, Neubau buzzes with galleries, arts and crafts, trendy restaurants, avant-garde shops, and cafés. Neubau’s Spittelberg quarter with cobblestoned Spittelberggasse and Gutenberggasse make for a perfect stroll alongside Biedermeier houses and art shops. Don’t miss the historic courtyard at Amerlinghaus with its typical Pawlatschen galleries, a perfect hangout on a warm summer evening. Museumsquartier is Neubau’s undisputed highlight: the former Imperial stables house various top museums of 19th to 21st century art. If you love interiors, head for the Imperial Furniture museum (Hofmobiliendepot), one of the world’s largest furniture collections. Find your favorites among a dazzling array of Baroque, Biedermeier, Art Nouveau and Modernist chairs, sofas, cupboards, coat hangers, foot stools and wash basins. No weekend visit would be complete without stopping by a local café on a weekend morning for brunch.
