Excellent hotel, a little out of the city but you can walk it. Does not do evening meals but there is lots of places to eat within walking distance. (ask at reception) Easy to get to from the U-Baun. Staff are very welcoming and very helpful. Rooms clean and tidy. There's lots to visit use the U-baun (underground) to get...

Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed with good pillows. Floor heating in the bathroom. Wifi not so good (the only thing that wasn't). Akward system with 24 h pass, and you needed one each for computer, cell phone, etc. Got kicked out several times.

We were surprised with the nice room when first enter the hotel. It was artistically designed with a nice ambience. Love the room. Bathroom was good as well. Location need some walk to Pratersten station at around 8 min, but this station can take you to all the places thanks to efficient Vienna U-Bahn. There were supermarket, eating places in...

An ordinary hotel room with despotic staff. Wi-fi is free and you need to ask password every 24 hours, that means in the middle of the night your connection may cut-off and need to ask new password. Elevator is always busy and stairs are not directing you to downstairs, every flat you have to walk thru corridors and if you...

Their wifi was horrible. I stayed here three nights. The first night I could get on, but it was extremely slow. After complaining to the front desk, he told me that perhaps my room was too far away from the router (perhaps they should fix that). The last night, I couldn't get on at all! The sofa bed was very...

Although a little out the way is very close to subway stations, this clean and warm hotel is a good place to get your head down. Some faults will bother different people in different ways but for me they impacted the star rating as I think most of these should now be standard in a hotel of these prices- wifi...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
