I spent one night for a bussiness trip in this hotel. My room was large and clean. the WiFi is available and the data rate was good. The bathroom was large. The underground is not too far. The night as calm. The breakfast was apparopriate. The staff was polite and efficient. It is not a five stars. It is a...

I was traveling to Vienna alone to spend 4 nights and was booking blind. I strarted with a budget of not more than 100 Euros per night and needed acclommodation in a 3 or 4 star hotel with easy travel to and from the airport and fast connections to the city centre. I made up a short list, looked at...

We have four nights there and we found it quite good. The room is clean and the staff is super friendly and it includes breakfast(which other hotels with similar price range do not provide). It is also very close to U2(only one minute walking). I think there is a free parking lot behind the hotel, near the exit of U2(exit...

It's the second time I visit this hotel and, although I cannot pronounce its name, I consider it my best stay in Vienna up to now. Clean, classy, artistic, modern, yet with all comforts you need either for business or leisure travel. Tea in the room, modern bathroom, large continental breakfast, kind personnel. And a nice, silent position just a...

We stayed here for one night and were very impressed. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful and the lobby area was nice and modern. It was easy to find the hotel coming from Praterstern S-Bahn station. Our room was quite big and had a very comfortable bed as well as a safe and a fridge, which were both useful. The...

I found this hotel on Trip Advisor. Although it is not right in the centre, its very close to the train & underground stations as well as trams and buses - so you are right in the city centre within minutes! The staff are great - nothing is too much trouble and they are keen to offer advice and suggestions....

This hotel certainly deserves its 4 star rating. The staff at the front desk, the bar, and the morning breakfast are very pleasant and helpful. One young lady spent almost an hour with us, explaining the sights, transportation, and local restaurants. The rooms are clean, spacious, and the beds comfortable. The decor, with its walls painted by local artists, is...

I think title says it all for this hotel! Very beautiful and artistic hotel. All the rooms in this hotel are a piece of artwork inspired from some renowned artists and painters. Here is a short summary of my experience in this hotel: 1. Location: 3-4 stations away from city center. 2. Rooms: Large, neat and clean, bathrooms are very...

I stayed there for just one night: standard business stay. It has everything you need: friendly staff, trouble-free check-in, clean, well equiped room. As for the night, bed was big (actually, a double one) and in a good shape. Who likes to watch TV, there is a big variety of channels covering many coutries and cultures. Wifi connection was without...

Stayed for 5 nights at the silver moon ART suite. Very modern but functional suite. Modern bathroom, spacious and practical. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, got us hot water kettle on request, with tea, fruits, etc. Nice touch. Breakfast is very efficient, convenient, with enough variety. It is very convenient both to downtown center and for my purposes,...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
