Travel to Vienna quite frequently and Der Wilhelmsdorf ranks among the best Hotel's I've stayed in. Good location, comfortable modern premises, friendly and welcoming staff and reasonably priced. Would recommend to anyone.

This hotel is incredible. We had just a standard room, but it was very spacious. There was a large bed, a desk and chair and a table with two seats with plenty of space to swan about in. There was a large wardrobe to hang clothes in and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The rooms are beautiful. The wall... More

A neat, comfortable hotel within an easy subway ride to the centre of Vienna. Staff extremely helpful ( we arrived with a burst tyre and they helped to sort it out with no difficulties ) and always cheerful and polite. Great, varied breakfast included in the price for the room for which we were also given an upgrade at no... More

Booked this Hotel online as a test drive for an exhibition that we have coming up. I don not understand why this Hotel gets such good reviews. The Hotel totally sucks. When you arrive, you think you are at the back entrance of the Hotel, you're not. How they pulled that photo off on their website is amazing. The location... More

So glad I choose this hotel for my stay. The decoration in the Wiener ART level rooms was unique as was the entire hotel! The location, although not in the old city center, is near Prater park and the Prater tram/subway stop (2 short stops to the old city). It is less than 5 minutes walk to the station. The... More

We stayed at this hotel for two days in first week of July 2012. We were initially looking for hotels via hotels.com and didn't find anything in our price range. Eventually we booked Wilhelmshof by calling them directly. The reservation desk lady was polite and helpful. Our room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The pullout couch... More

We were lucky to have our room up graded to one of the excellent ARTelier, penthouse suites, good air conditioning, very comfortable bed, lots of room to relax and fantastic bathroom. Super Breakfasts all tastes catered for, everything you could want or need. Situated within a 30 minute walk of the Cathedral Square, Underground, trams and buses just a couple... More

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
