Dear guest! First we want to express our regret about what happened. Next we want to explain our point of view so there is no misunderstanding and remind you that your comment is offensive and unfair, since we did our best to help. It was YOU who gave the thief i.e. a stranger with no key access to the room,...

This hostel was pretty good! Even without the full kitchen facilities you can make so many of your own meals. Friendly staff and many friendly people of different age groups! The beds are not too noisy and the bathrooms are good as well!! There is even a Christmas tree around this festive time of the year!

Big hotel converted into a hostel. Diverse guests of ALL ages.. Kitchen/common room seemed more of an after thought. Maybe 5-10 people using it on an average night I was there (100+ in the hostel total) Reliable and priced ok if you need a place.. if you're looking for a more youth hostel environment though, Vienna has better options (that...

A wonderful choice for my stay in Vienna. It was so conveniently located to anywhere I wanted to go, and I never once felt unsafe walking to/from by myself. The girls room & ensuite bathroom was clean. The staff was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was simple. The common area was pleasant. If you're a lady traveler looking for a...

We stayed 2 days in this hostel and I didn't really enjoy the experience. The location is great and the staff is nice but... My friends and I (5 total) stayed in the 8 bed room for two nights. We had our own bathroom. The room was cleaned everyday. There is no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby and common area. There is no elevator, but that was not a problem for us. There is breakfast at the hotel for additional 4...

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
