Simlpy, every thing related to a hotel is very good there. Cleanliness, staff, location, value, air conditioning is acceptable and i recommend it. Close to metro station and easy reach the city center. Just breakfast was too expensive.

Yes, its in the red light district. Yes, its a functional business stay type of hotel. And yes, its not in the city centre but it is hardly the den of vice and crime as some reviewers have pointed out. Prostitutes are out on the street but only on one side of the hotel and they simply add to the...

This is a basic, modern, conference hotel, located in the Messe Prater park area. It is conveniently situated within a few minutes of the U-Bahn but far enough out of town not to feel able to pop back during the day - a round trip from the cathedral and back would have taken around an hour and a half in...

Although the Hotel for my 1 night stay was comfortable enough, as a smoker I was forced to smoke outside the hotel, which in itself is not a problem. However, after dark, the street filled up with Ladies of negotiable affection who insisted on plying their trade to myself and other smokers in my group. I'm in no way a...

This hotel was nice, staff very friendly and cool lobby bar-vibe. We only had a short stay in Vienna, so the outlying location (next to the Prater) was a bit disappointing, although it was a very short walk to the metro and easy ride from there into the city center. Other guests appeared to be primarily there for trade shows,...

This hotel offers basic comfort and facilities and is satisfactory enough. The location is not central, but close to public transport and a nice area of Vienna Prater, and is located in a quiet green place. It is good for a budget city break or for business.

I was in Vienna for a conference and stayed in Austria Trend Messe Wien. The only plus point of this hotel is the close proximity to the congress area, which is just across the street. I believe this is the main reason most people choose to stay in this hotel during confernce period, resulting in the hotel being fully booked....

Went for a conference, a bit far from the center of town, but you can they easily by underground which is cheap. Excellent and friendly service. No restuarant at hotel, but you can get snacks. Ideal location if you are going to a conference at messe Wien. Not a lot of restaurants around unfortunately.

I stayed at this hotel for three nights on a recent work trip and was travelling with two other female colleagues. The hotel and rooms were fine, pretty much what you'd expect for price and the rooms looked recently updated with new bathrooms. All making for good start to stay. However, whilst not the hotels fault it did seem to...

We stayed here for 8 nights at the beginning of August and had a really pleasant stay. The room was nice with comfy beds and everything we needed (plus a minibar). The subway system in Vienna is brilliant and the nearest station was approx 3 minute walk away which was very convenient! (I recommend purchasing a weekly ticket, i think...

Staying in Leopoldstadt

Neighbourhood Profile
Leopoldstadt
Welcome to one of Vienna’s trendiest quarters. The second district has witnessed a turbulent ride, from medieval swamp to vibrant Jewish quarter, from pleasure ground for the noble and humble to current hip residence and workplace of Vienna’s creative crowd. Cross the Danube Canal from the city centre and take in life on Taborstrasse with its mix of old townhouses, churches, theatres, discount shops and ethnic restaurants. Head for Augarten via Karmelitermarkt, Leopoldstadt’s trendy marketplace. Baroque Augarten itself hosts a bizarre mix of manicured hedges and flowerbeds in front of a colossal World War II defense tower, the publicly accessible 300-year-old Augarten porcelain manufactory, the palatial boarding school and funky concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir, and the modern art museum TBA21. At its opposite corner, The Prater not only houses the Giant Ferris Wheel but blends a bustling amusement park with lush woodland, perfect for a bike tour. Further east is the old derby racing ground of Krieau.
