I liked almost everything: from check in to check out. I am sorry I cannot say the name of the owner because it is difficult for me, but he was an amazing and professional person. The hotel is very clean and quiet and the room was big, clean and comfortable, with mini bar and coffee machine. The location was a...

This hotel is on the third floor (with elevators) of a mid-rise building located on popular shopping street Mariahilfer Strasse within one block of the subway stop and a short walk to museums, the opera house and Habsburg Palace. It is operated by the kindest and friendliest Hungarian family who looked after our every need and provided us with tourist...

The Hotel Corvinus is right in Vienna's shopping district: if you are there for the shops, then they are just on your doorstep. The welcome was warm, the room was lovely: huge, with a kitchenette, jacuzzi AND shower and spotlessly clean!! Enjoyed the coffee machine in the room but if you are keen on tea then remember there's no kettle....

The first and obvious advantage is its location. The hotel is located in the city center, on Maria street, which is literally close to everything. Secondly, the rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable. The shower is great and the bed is excellent. The hotel is located next to a beautiful church so you really have a great view and also...

The owner was very helpful. Every morning he got us hot water for tea. The room was large and very comfortable. We had a problem with the satellite TV, and the owner worked on it very diligently. We felt the price was very good for the value. The location was a bit far from Old Town Vienna. We had to...

Our first trip to Vienna and our choice of hotel couldn't have been better. All members of the family and staff were helpful on a number of issues from touring advice to aiding us on the last day getting our boarding passes printed out (Austrian Airlines kept saying we weren't booked in - it took Zoltan's call to correct the...

This little hotel is in a building on a busy pedestrian street in Vienna - vibrant and lots of life. Underground station just over the road. We were given a spacious room, unexpectedly it even had a kitchenette as well. Warm welcome and helpful staff. Good value in an expensive city.

It's my second time to stay in this hotel and we had a great time. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. We felt that we are at home. Location is perfect, near metro + near to the hop on hop off station + near lots of museums + in the shopping street. I highly recommend this hotel. Best regards

My wife and I (early 30s, Californians) visited Vienna for the first time, stayed here. Huge rooms in excellent repair, awesome location (IN the shopping district, very short walk to all the major tourist sites), staff was very helpful. Couldn't ask for anything else, can't recommend more highly

Staying in Mariahilf

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
